Boycott The De La Hoya Pacquiao Fight

    Oscar De La Hoya Is Not The Blame For This Poor Match Up. The Public Is To Blame. Oscar Is A Business Man And Promoter First And A Fighter Third. Oscar Has Learned A Great Deal From His Former Promoter Bob Arum, Which Is Greed And Selfishness. Oscar Only Cares About Himself. As Soon As The Public Realizes This And Stop Paying $59.99 For His Fights Then He Will Make Better Fights. I Plead With All True Boxing Fans To Help Me Boycott This Fight And Use The $60 To Fill Up Your Gas Tank Rather Than Pay For This Excuse For A Prize Fight. It Is True Both Are Great Hall Of Fame Boxers But This Fight Is An Insult To The Die Hard Boxing Fans And We Should Let Our Voices Be Heard. Oscar Does Not Need The Money, He Can Give Us A Great Gift And Fight Margarito, Paul Williams, Clottey Or Even Winky Wright.......but Not A Guy That Is 135lb Fighter.

    That's the truth, casual fans are far more than hardcore fans and fighting Pac would attract far more than fighting Williams or Margarito. Sad but true.

    I don't know what to think about this fight. My head's a bit fuzzled to be honest.

    I'm a boxing ***** anyway, I'll watch any fight on tv. Hell, I'm even contemplating buying the Khan ppv on Sep 6 - that's if my better half hasn't went into labour by then. A good excuse not to buy the fight.

    Anyway, I like pacman - i did like DLH. So I'll probably watch and beforehand get caught up in the hype and the 24/7 bull****.

    Like I said, boxing *****

    Yep, that's me as well: ESPN Classics, Boxing After Dark, old VHS tapes with classic fights on 'em-you name it. Addicted and hopless, I am. I would love to somehow see a figure/spreadsheet of some kind of those to yield and buy the fight anyway. It would be funny to say the least.

    No need to boycott the fight. Just watch online or free HBO the week after.Of course oscar is a businessman 1st, but nearly as sleazy as Arum. He is a 36 year old jr middleweight with many risky big fights behind him. He knows that even the hardcore fans will watch the fight despite all the **** talking.

    All I Am Saying Is....as Long As We Are Willing To Pay For Whatever Fight The Promoters Make There Is No Reason For Them To Change And Make Better Fights. I Am Just As Big Of A Boxing Fan As Anyone, Thats Why I Critisize It The Way I Do. I Want Nothing But The Best From Boxing Even If It Means Boycotting Poor Match Ups To Get It. You Hit Them In The Wallets And Hbo And Showtime Will Pressure Them To Make Better Fights.

    I'm with you but hbo is paperview happy anyway marquez vs casamayor and hopkins and pavlik ppv events I love boxing but 50 bucks for these match ups are crazy and showtime has been the better match maker on regular showtime same day as marquez and casamayor they have campbell vs guzman a fight I would rather watch anyway hbo is trash
