A site has been set up to boycott the PPV and give to charity instead, I'd rather give £20 to charity than fill Eddie and Sky's pockets for this tripe so if you're like minded maybe do the same and share this page on, maybe even to eddies Twitter! Haha https://www.justgiving.com/Brett-Coleborn/
It doesn't matter for me personally, but for the good of boxing in the UK a boycott is a good thing. If the bar gets lowered time and time again to what's a PPV worthy fight, then within a couple of years you'll pay £20 for some Commonwealth lightweight bout as main event. It's not just if you want to pay it, it's about not having a real choice to see it anymore if this continues. Having to pay more and more for less quality is the trend now, and it has to stop.
I get what you mean and do not disagree. However the whining is pathetic. If you're not buying it fine, but we don't need relentless threads on it. There's not a chance in hell I'll pay for it personally, however it's a Saturday night, so I'll go down the pub with friends and watch it.
I don't even have television. People paying TV licence, SKY, SKY Sports, and PPV. That's cool if you think you're getting value for money. But no one's forcing you to pay if you don't think it's worth it. :good
Is it still definitely PPV? Has Hearn or Sky said it still is? I thought after Wlad pulled out, Brook vs Chaves must surely be downgraded to a SS1 fight.
Remember Hearn saying Brook is now a PPV fighter, unless he pulls a big co-main event out the bag then no way he can keep it at PPV. At least the O2 show had Mitchell and Selby in genuine world title fights.
That wasn't just for the Kell fight. 3 genuine world title fights on that card. Kell could be a ppv fighter depending on who he fights and Chavez isn't one of them. Unless there's a few other Brits challenging for titles against real champions then this should never be ppv.
