Did I mention Boystov? No. Hush now. And I wasn't talking about Thompson, who isn't even a pressure fighter. I meant Fragomeni, who gave Haye hell (ignore the scorecards). There are obviously bigger fighters, who take a harder punch, and will impose their strength and size more effectively at heavyweight. How will he handle that? Answer - he won't.
Boytsov is good and would likely starch Haye. But he is very small for today's heavyweight division. He started out at 203 and could still make cruiserweight.
Imagine if Fragomeni were something like 6'1", 220 and had a punch, Haye would have been stopped. Hmm, that description sounds and awful lot like Boytsov.
He is ok. His style though is not that much different than Povetkin or Boytsov, and both guys are bigger, harder hitting, and as fast if not faster. Hence my picking both guys over Haye. If he could prove me wrong, great, but I'd like to see a fight vs either two made.
Boytsov has good handspeed, and when he let's his hands go he can put combinations together. He's far more proven than Haye, even if he fought bums so far. He has good reflexes as well, if his chin is good (which I think it is) he will give many fighters absolute hell. Denis Boytsov KO3 David Haye :deal
Good handspeed compared to who? Hugh Heffner? And if he has good reflexes, I don't see them considering he doesn't move his head and has fought nothing but stiffs, but sure he can back up with his hands up...while simeltaneously appearing like he has a stick in his ass. And putting combinations together against BUM from wherever and Klitschko are completely different situations. Haye is much more fluid, and is a better overall fighter, BUT he does make one critical, fundamental mistake that could cost him in the future... BUT guys like Boystov are too SLOW to capitalize. Klitschko however....
Compared to most heavyweights. Haye's been hit by much slower fighters, Boytsov has good hand speed. I would not call Bidenko a bum or stiff, and unlike Virchis he did not get a lucky knockout he demolished Bidenko from the start. Bidenko is not the worlds best but let's be honest David Haye isn't either. Haye would not last long. Klitschko is another thing, I favor Wladdy over Denis. We'll see how he develops over his next few fights when he steps up a few levels.
I never said he was fat, just that he fights like he has a stick up his ass and has no handspeed. He's cannon fodder. People get sold on some nobodies.
But Haye actually fights with the right concept of style despite being somewhat fundamentally flawed. Guys like Bostov are very convention belt and are made for guys like Klitschko. He's a guy that could win against the majority of heavies TODAY, but he would go life and death against most of them. Haye actually has defense and the ability to counterpunch without getting hit in return. Bostov stands in front of you without moving his head, and uses a style suited for amatuers. I see nothing special.
Its guys like you that make me pray for haye to get KOed badly, seriously boystov is a very decent young pro, who could well end up more then that, your massive crush on haye has completly blinded you to seeing this, just because you love haye, does not make other hopefuls ****, maybe you should go and show us how its done then ? FFS saying a pro boxer who has a good enough record at his age, and trains hard is **** just makes me wonder about some so called boxing fans on here, haye is good maybe could be great, but hes not the only one out there, untill he beats a top heavy, not a poor polish guy, and a old american guy what has he proved at HW ?
"poorly conditioned , pudgy Russian." Dont ****ing back track you dick, you called him fat after probaly seeing no more then one minute of a ****ing youtube video, look into the facts first:-(
Yeah Haye's defense is really great atsch Anyway, I disagree. Boytsov will do well IMO, but neither of us can see the future so we'll have to wait.
