And Thompson got BATTERED in sparring by Haye you ****in imbecile. Thompson is garbage. http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/54028.html Haye's been battering me - Thompson ESPN staff November 2, 2010 This content is protected | This content is protected This content is protected Tony Thompson: Haye will destroy Harrison © Getty Images Enlarge Related Links News: This content is protected Profile: This content is protected | This content is protected Tony Thompson, the man who supposedly floored This content is protected in sparring, has told This content is protected that he is 'leagues below' Haye going into the November 13 showdown. Haye and Harrison are set for the biggest All-British heavyweight boxing encounter since Lennox Lewis met Frank Bruno, with the WBA heavyweight title the prize for the winner. And in a clash of two former training partners, the trash talk ahead of the bout - particularly from the Harrison camp - has been relentless. On Monday the Olympic gold medallist This content is protected by claiming that sparring partner Thompson had put him on his back. Harrison said: "I want Haye to tell me and the rest of the world what Tony Thompson did to him a couple of weeks ago, because I hear Tony Thompson knocked him down in training. "Tony Thompson is not a puncher, David Haye - I am. If Tony Thompson's putting you down, what the hell am I going to do to you? It's so beautiful. He brought in this guy trying to get publicity for him, but he's knocked him down already." Thompson did not comment on the alleged knockdown, but he did offer his opinion on the outcome of the November 13 fight, insisting Haye will win 'easily'. And in a taunt that could lead to a future fight between Thompson and Harrison, the 38-year-old claimed Harrison is not even on his level. "I couldn't have been more impressed with David in sparring, and he was twice the fighter I first thought he was," said Thompson. "I just think this is going to be an easy win for him on November 13. "I told David at the beginning that if he can hit me with right hands and beat the hell out of me in practice, he will destroy Audley Harrison. If David can do what he did to me, Audley's got no shot in this fight at all. "Audley is nowhere near on this level. He's leagues below where I'm operating and that's just common boxing knowledge. Anybody that has ever watched a fight on television knows that. Audley might be an Olympic gold medallist, but he's nowhere near me as a pro. I've achieved, beaten good guys and mixed with the best, whereas Audley has achieved next to nothing so far." © ESPN EMEA Ltd
Do you know many sparring partners that **** on the man that's paying him? Besides he's getting old now.
I had high hopes for boytsov a few years agom I get the diea he is kind of stuck in his development, this guy will have a belt once the klits retire.
What act? It's called being honest with yourself. You should try it sometime. The guy has no skills. He's just a big strong dude that's been beatin up nobodies. If he's the savior of the heavyweight division, it's only a matter of time before a guy from MMA comes up and clowns the sport. It won't happen with Haye or the Klitschko's at the helm. ****, even Adamek and Arreola, despite one guy being undersized and the other not being able to control his eating habits, would brutalize anybody coming up from MMA. Boystov though...he would get KTFO.
To be fair, Boystov's resume is not all junk. He has a TKO5 victory over Ondrej Pala. More recently, Gavern and Bydenko are respectable wins. But the guy is untested and overrated. His current Boxrec record (like 22nd or so) is probably a more accurate depiction of his rank among heavyweights than Top 10 in the Ring magazine. If he wants to fight in June he should try to fight Mormeck. But more likely he'll fight another tomato can first, then maybe something in the Fall.
Don't see how you can say that guys like Stiverne are "on the fast track". He's 32, been pro since 2005, best win is vs Hawkins and has a loss against a guy with a losing record. lol Price seems to be stepping it up a bit but ther aren't many guys in boxing period that have been fast tracked more than Helenius, Pulev and Glazkov. the rest don't deserve comparison.
Your right. I just mean lately he got a huge boost because he got a good paper victory, and Lawrence also has won a few- Stiverne already has a win against him. As For Price, he has two decent fights lined up, one agaisnt McDermott. You know me- I think Glazkov, Helenius, and Pulev are the future, but it is just nice that they are going to have some guys to fight.
They would both get taken down and wrecked. Wlad might land something big first becasue he has K.O power but the chances are slim. Boystov is a plodder though, i agree with that much.
Its too bad about Price. He has all the skills, but everyone knows that he is chinny. But like I said, guys like Glaskov and Helenius got to have guys to fight. I think its going ot be a great era because there are going to be be both top end guys, and a LOT of guys on the lower end who are capable of getting in there despite deficiencies.
