I watched a short summary of that fight on German tv. According to the German tv commentator Boytsov won every round of his encounter with Hawkins and didnt really press the action to score a stoppage victory. Obviously Boytsov didnt go for the skill. Hawkins is a durable fighter who can take a punch. Just a guess, but I think that Boytsov could have the order to gof the full route with the experienced vet.Boytsov hasnt had that many ring rounds since he turned pro. He usually knocks out his foe quite quickly.Hawkins seems to be the right opponent to see how that young fellow fares against a decent fighter going the full route. Boytsov's coach is one of the best pro coaches in the business,Fritz Sdunek.Vitaly Klitschko's old trainer surely knows how to adjust his boy to bigger fights.
