Indeed. Kid needs to hit the gym I think. His workrate was down and he seemed a bit slow to me. Good to see him back in the ring at least, but he's gonna have to step up a bit in his next fight if he's gonna be taken seriously.
He has a extra bit of flab on his belly alright. That's the worst I've seen him to look at. He wasn't awfully out of shape or anything it's just that he's usually cut to perfection.
He's already beaten several fringe contenders. Guys like Guinn and Bydenko fit that bill. Not a Boystov fan, but he's beat a few very decent fighters along with his long resume of journeyman and nobodies.:think
I dont get it........he landed a shot behind Nesterenkos ear. But......Boystov could have gotten that guy outta there in the opening rd if he'd have applied some pressure. I guess his timing is likely off and he needs to resharpen...... For his own sake....he needs to get busy fighting. :good
I really hope the management issues are behind him. He's the kind of fighter that really needs to be fighting 3-4 times a year to stay sharp. At least he came on to the scene so young that he's not too old to still make a move. But he's got to stay active.
Boytsov looked sharper and quicker several years ago, around the time he fought Bidenko. He's become a lot softer. He used to be all muscle, now it's turned to fat.
Boystov, Wilder and all the other so-called contenders are doing the right thing, not fighting very often and staying away from Wlad who would crush them. When Wlad retires they can fight for championships. Wlad is an all-time great heavyweight champion reigning in a poor division of contenders so they are all rightfully scared of Wlad and are actively avoiding him. Can't really blame them. Their time will come as Wlad approaches his forties.
