According to Warren the cut wasn't mentioned on any medical reports received 2 days ago so it's got to be bullsh1t.

Of course its BS. Just like the last six times when Brähmer mentally collapsed while going through his PMS.

Go through the Universum fighter list and look how many delays/cancellations they've had over the last 5 years, some highly suspicious:

    Brähmer
    Ulrich
Dimitrenko (the infamous locker room chicken dance)
    Erdei

I think between these four guys they must have called off like 20+ fights.

"Brähmer was due to fly into the UK on Tuesday," Warren said. "We got a call saying that he had missed his flight, but would land in the UK on Wednesday at 12 p.m. We sent a car to pick him up from the airport, but he didn't show up. I then read on the Internet that he has a cut and won't be fighting. We then found out that his team had emailed their hotel at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning and canceled their rooms.

"Neither Brähmer nor his promoters (Germany's Universum Box-Promotion) have picked up the phone and had the decency to explain to me what is going on.

That's exactly how the Shumenov cancellation went down. Brähmer has to be stripped on the spot and get his act together. He's a disgrace for boxing.

He was stripped, rightfully so. Clev is the new champion. I don't think Clev is ready for this, not by a long shot. Any of the elites would beat him.

Nathan Cleverly has been crowned WBO light-heavyweight champion.

The Welshman was elevated from interim to full-blown champion in the early hours of Thursday morning, following Juergen Braehmer's no-show for this weekend's defence,

He will now defend it straight away against Tony Bellew, as part of the Sky Box Office HD double bill, This Is It.

It caps an emotional 24 hours for Cleverly who only found out about Braehmer on his way to a media workout in London on Wednesday morning.

He admitted to being "devastated" by the news and maintained he would rather be crowned world champion in the ring.

Frank Warren immediately started lobbying the WBO to strip Braehmer of the title and elevate Cleverly from interim champion, while matchmaker Dean Powell set about finding a late replacement.

Unbeaten Bellew, the Commonwealth champion at light-heavyweight and ranked 14 in the world, accepted the invitation - not knowing a world title would be on the line.

Hours later the news came through from the WBO's Puerto Rico headquarters that Braehmer, who pulled out of a January defence at the last minute and has only defended his belt once in 15 months, had been stripped.

It capped a rollercoaster 24 hours for Cleverly, but he says he will put it all behind him - and make Bellew pay.

"I'm really happy that Bellew will be in the opposite corner on Saturday night," he said.

"Not only will he feel my anger from Braehmer pulling out, but he'll now pay for slagging me off in the last year.

"I knew we would get it on one day and that day has come a lot sooner than expected, but I'm ready for Bellew and he's going to get knocked out."

You can have your oppinions on whether Nathan is a worthy champ. He's never ducked anyone, he's fought his way to the top of the WBO tree - it ain't his fault the champion had dubious morals.

I agree with the thoughts that all the five fighter above him in the Ring ratings are a level above him but he's only a pup and over the next two years he will get better and stronger. I can see him doing great things the division in around 3 years time.

I do not mind Cleverly getting the "full" WBO title without a fight. Not at all. Cleverly was ready and willing to fight, unlike his opponent. It wasn't his fault.

Brähmer is a POS that has no place in professional boxing.
