I think Andrew Cain is the real deal. I don't really rate a lot of brits high but he passes the eye test for me. Fast reflexes, good power, fast hands, good footwork. Only thing I would worry about him is that he keeps his hands down and if he has a brit chin he might get stopped brutally in the future.

    Very good analysis.

I too like Cain's athleticism and power. Similarly I don't like how he carries his hands defensively.

Nevertheless I suspect he may very well tighten up his defensive posture as his competition improves.

I made a thread about him and people were saying he's domestic level. Confusing why. He passes the eye test pretty easily, the biggest question mark is his chin as he hasn't gotten a proper chin check.

I see more or less what you see. In addition to the question marks surrounding his chin, he'll need to demonstrate that his power translates against better opposition.

Only time will tell, but if Cain answers those questions, I think his ceiling greatly exceeds domestic British level.

Missed the first 8, but Baluta bossed the last two rounds.

I like him, think he's got the goods. All the athleticism traits are a big positive tick mark.

I've seen very little of him, I saw the Uriel Lopez match, and he was impressive in that, although IIRC, I didn't like how much he dropped his hands, he's very open to counter hooks. But overall, he's fast, seems to punch hard enough, flashy, so it wouldn't shock me if he does slightly better than British level.
