Brad Foster vs. Ionut Baluta & Andrew Cain vs. Luis Moreno RBR.

That's exactly who I was thinking of, and yeah... I agree, he looks like he's got a lot more grit, toughness and determination. Still... haven't seen his chin tested, so the jury remains out there.

 

No wonder, I just checked.... he's a Leo Sun, Aries Moon, Virgo Mercury and Cancer Mars. A match literally made in heaven.

 

Brad Foster vs. Ionut Baluta 10 Rounds @ Super Bantamweight

 

Round 1 Baluta 10-9

Cagey start, Baluta darting in and out of range, throwing 3 and four punch flurries, most of them not landing clean, but he always manages to get a least one through, Foster grabbing and holding a lot early. Then he starts attempting to time and counter the flurries, Baluta a little too slippery for that.

Again Inout is just too damn active to give the round to Foster, he's standing right in front of him, capitalizing on his reach advantage, and unleashing 4 and 5 punch combos, usually culminating with a sharp left hook to the chin, occasionally Foster is ducking down, prompting Baluta to press down on his shoulders, until the ref breaks them.

Hideous round, neither man landing much clean. But the longer punches of Baluta's still managed to get through more than Foster's, which do little damage when they do connect.

Foster far more evasive this round, Baluta even less accurate, but Foster just isn't doing enough. Sure, Baluta probably missed 50 shots, but the 10 or so he got through was better than the 5 or so Foster got through.

Foster pressing forward a little more now, but Baluta still outworking him on the backfoot, although no it's Baluta being pushed down when he lunges in. Down the stretch Baluta came on the stronger of the two, and nicked another close one, with the cleaner punches.

Ionut bossed the 6th, he was aggressively walking forward, landing flurries, with at least one or two punches landing per flurry, and solidly. The commentator after the most lopsided round of the fight, then said something to the effect of... I think Foster landed the best shots of the round. Blind corrupt biased assholes.

It starts out rather even, with Baluta walking into several one twos, most not landing clean. But Foster more accurate, then in the last two minutes, Baluta once again amps up the output, and goes back to shoeshining him, and landed some of the better shots of the fight, including a heavy left hook flush on teh chin late.

Very close round, with Foster actually landing a handful of eye catching shots, and the output of Ionut dropping quite a bit, I still can't give it to Foster though. His output was still too low, adn Inout's was still too high, and slightly more accurate.

Watched teh last two earlier, no need to revisit them. Foster's output dropped through the basement floor, they were both all Ionut, charging forward and throwing shots like a wildman. Many of them landing flush, and a few seemed to stun Foster a time or two. So the last two were probably the most decisive of a one sided, but bowling shoe ugly match.
