I dont think the Oganov debacle has done him any favours....

 

I agree a rematch with Oganov would be interesting especially if he gets hit hard again.

 

He definately owes Victor a rematch...............that refererring was disgraceful.

 

As much as shot oganov highlighted pitts shortcomings....id back pitt to knock oganov out in a rematch.

huh? Pitt was just about out of there until the referee saved his ass, Oganov allowed it to get to him and in the end gave up. He was fighting both Pitt and the referee.

Oganov gets a thumb to the eye in round 2, isnt given much time to recover, doctor isnt even called to have a look at it, ref dont even ask if he can see out of it. Pitt is constantly holding after throwing a combo, he is also constantly pushing Oganov off him with two hands, the referee is complacent in allowing Pitt to contuine these illegal tactics.

One can see during the break after round 2 has completed that Oganov is clearly frustrated and pissed off. He is walking upto Pitts punches and Pitts punches arent backing him up, that dont mean Pitt should be permitted to hold him and or push him off. Its unfair and not legal in boxing. warnings are required and if Pitt contuined then point deductions should follow. Count the amount of times Pitt throws a combo then holds. How is Oganov supposed to counter or return fire when Pitt is being allowed to do this and rack up the points? Oganov tries on many occasions to punch out, one can clearly see Pitt is holding.

Pitt also uses both hands and pulls Oganovs head down.

Round 3 when Pitt is knocked down, he spits his mouthguard out of the ring and is assisted by the referee in beating the 8 count, infact, Pitt should have been out here. Ref stops the count etc, its one of the most blatant cases of favoritism ive ever seen in boxing. Around the 14.30 mark of the youtube clip. The count was stoped to pick up a fcking mouthguard? :nut Dont reward corrupt officals like this, sack them and never allow them to referee of judge a fight again, one by one, filter out the corruption in boxing otherwise this sht happens time and time again, and just imagine folks, this is the sht we see on TV, imagine what goes unchecked.

The ref has given Pitt more than 10 seconds, stops the count at 8, picks up mouthguard, allows it to be washed and then Pitts corner, this is vital time that Pitt is allowed to regain his composure, had the proper rules and regulations been followed, Pitt would have either been counted out or knocked out, or his trainer would have stopped the fight and thrown in the towl. As the commentator mentions, Pitt was given a good 30 second break to recover after he was legitimately knocked down.

At no stage during a legit knockdown count is a referee allowed to assist a fighter to his feet, in any way shape or form. Case Example.. Caine Melbourne vs Adam Watt.

Watching from the 9.00 mark. The referee doesnt assist Caine in making his way out from under the ropes.

As for stopping a 10 count to pick up the blokes mouthguard,, lets take a look at Tyson V DOuglas..

Nope, no assistance given to Mike , he grabs it himself as he knows that straight after a knockdown, if you have lost your guard and you make the count, its straight back on baby! so pick that sht up and get it in your mouth if you like your teeth, dont be expecting some corrupt cheating ass referee to help you!

Back of head point deduction to Oganov was Bullsht, Pitt was putting himself in that position each time on purpose, if his head is there when Oganov punches its his fault for putting it there to begin with. He throws combo then puts his arm over Oganovs head, doing this does not protect you from the fighter, unless the refs in your corners pocket and will protect you via blaming the other fighter.

The Punch also did not require a 5 min break, the referee must show some judgment in deciding how much damage that punch did to Pitt and if he needs a break or is playing it up. In comparision to the thumb in the eye, Oganov was rushed into getting back into it whilst Pitt getting hit to the back of the head requires a rest and attention from his corner?

The Ref says its ok you got 5 min brad.. Brads response..

at this stage the referee should have allowed the fight to contuine, Pitt has indicated he is ok. Fight goes on. The corner has no say. But the referee says to him again, you got 5 min, Pitt then says "Alright"

One of the biggest boxing farces in 2011 was that fight. A rematch is in order.

whats funny is that this is the 2nd time an offical has assisted the same trainers fighters in beating the 10 count. Burrage vs Foley , Pitt vs Oganov. All from the same camp, you couldnt dream this sht up but it happen twice in the same year that we know of and i bet both officals still have their jobs.

name the ref and shame him. whats his name? start a thread on the ****. that was ****en disgraceful. had oganov been given all the advantages of....um.....THE ****EN RULES, pitt was GGOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEE!!

fights like this are the reason boxing in oz has become a farce.

Bryce Birtwhistle.!! no wonder the spastic couldnt ref. he's was mentally damaged the first day he went to school......kids can be cruel...

it seems the **** never got over his school days of being bashed and taunted...

as is usually the way.....he's found a 'legal' way to manifest his revenge on humanity. he now gets to be the one in charge. he gets to be the bully. he lets someone get no advantage from the 'rules'......he now believes he owns the rules.

Oganov was taking a massive beatdown by the time he quit. Pitts range and accuracy was something to behold by fights end.

 

oganov stopped him early. pitt was given every advantage to win by the ref.

pitt is a disgrace if he doesnt apologise for his tactics, and offer a rematch.

i know after watching that farce, i'll be hoping he gets ko'd every time he fights. something about aussies, we cant stand CHEATS!
