    Timothy Bradley has challenged Amir Khan to 50-50 split of any purse in a bid to get their names on a contract.

    Bradley will face Joel Casamayor in a defence of his WBO light-welterweight title in November, while IBF and WBA champion Khan is slated to face Lamont Peterson in December.

    There has been much talk about a potential match-up, but so far no deal has been agreed. Bradley is keen to get in the ring with the Englishman and is hoping a split of the purse will turn Khan's head.

    "If Amir Khan beats his next opponent and I will beat mine, then I'm willing to fight him! 50/50! Let's do this," Bradley wrote on Twitter.

    Khan is planning to step up from 140lbs to 147 after his fight with Peterson - with Floyd Mayweather Jnr in his sights - but Bradley is clearly hoping his gambit will persuade the Olympic silver medallist from 2004 to remain at light-welterweight for one more fight.

    -------Just to add, Khan has said a few times Bradey will not be getting a 50/50 offer from him again, Maybe Bradley just heard this and knows khan aint gonna give him that..............

    it took Tim bradley 6 months to find his voice after calling me out and agreeing to fight me, and now hes asking for a 50/50 split for 2012?

    I actually agree with Khan on this, too little, too late for Bradley. He should have fought him already.

    Time for Khan to stop ducking Bradley.

    50/50 is more than fair for both sides.

    Mere face-saving gesture on Bradley's part. Then again, I believe Khan only upped the offer to 50/50 when it became clear that Bradley was not going to take the fight due to his issues with Shaw, so this is just the latest development in a long line of empty rhetorical gestures. Ultimately the two of them do not in any way need each other to go get bigger paydays to lose against Floyd and Manny.

    Khan is the biggest draw at 140. He is the champ at 140.

    Too late and no way does he now deserve a 50:50 split. Because of Timid Timmy's stalling/ducking tactics he only has one belt to offer now. F*ck him, fight Peterson & then move up unless the plan is still to unify all the belts at 140lbs....

    I agree. Bradley didn't want to fight Khan because of the risk of him losing and losing out on big fights. Well, he still doesn't have any big fights and I think a 11 month layoff didn't do him any good.

    I would still like to see this, March-April sort of time. Doubt Brad will get his 50-50 though, but to be fair he's probably missed that boat. Maybe he's found out he aint getting Pac or May in the next 12 month from Arum??? So a change in heart....

    bradley wanted to get his promotions in order 1st.

    khan should know this. Be the bigger man Khan. Make the fight.

    Still, bradley wants Manny after his next fight. not khan. He's just trying to undo the damage to his rep

    Nah he's probably still getting Manny and Bob or Todd simply told him to do this to start trying to fix his reputation. Now Bradley can pretend that he was the one who actually wanted the fight.

    The two best 140 pounders need to fight. I'm sick this of this public finger pointing crap. You're fighters, friggin fight each other or your both puthies.
