Everybody is writing of Maidana too quickly in this fight, he's explosive and knows how to punch...Bradley is good, but IMO if he doesn't work on his defense and still keeps his self open, he will get sparked.
I do think he can be stunned and hurt for a brief second, but his ability to recuperate is very impressive (as displayed against Ortiz). Like you said, his opponents are then duped in thinking they can go for the kill, when in fact he's recovered already.
No because who's too say that they both will have built up a huge name for themselves in the future, what if only 1 does and then he decides the other is high risk low reward, what happens if one gets injured or some other reason of which there are many that the fight in the end never gets made. And even if they do fight soon, who's to say that both won't still go on to be stars, Pac has lost and look at how big he is now, then a rematch can happen.
:deal Bradley doesnt have such great defence and he aint masterboxer like maywather or dawson, no way this is an easy fight for him.
I tend to agree with the TS .. Bradley is certainly doing well for himself at 140, and taking on all comers .. the only thing you can really "hold" against him is the no contest with Campbell (which some will argue he made Nate "quit" but that's a whole nother story) Still Tim has remained undefeated and beaten a good crop of fighters I'll give him his props for being one of, if not the best at 140 currently, but I just don't see him as a future Pound For Pounder. Best in his division, certainly **probably a rhetorical question but obviously Bradley's WBO title is on the line vs Maidana .. what about Maidana's WBA Interim title?
Hopefully Bradley knocks out Maidana. The guy is a punk. Ok, Khan did say he wasn't ready to fight to fight Bradley . I will give you that. I did hear that. In the future Khan plans on facing Bradley.
yes he will have a lot of hype, but with plenty of people talking on how maidana will win, then bradley will have earned it. Thats what gets you hype, beating guys that are supposed to be matches for you, and when thats the case, the hype is deserved to a certain extent.
Ortiz got cocky and let the crowd get to him, it was his first head liner and he tried to bang with Maidana, he could have easily boxed smart but he didn't Bradley will do what Ortiz should have and look great vs Maidana.
That's what I see too. I mean I like Maidana, and I think his aggressive approach makes a fan out of anyone. But his one dimensional style and defensive short comings (and there are lots of them), means he will fall victim against slick, intelligent boxers: - Bradley, would grab a decision over him no doubt - Alexander, would also grab a decision - Khan (12 months down the line), will have a great shot against him That's just my personal opinion though, as I pick the skilled smart boxers, over aggressive power punchers any day
Shouldn't Bradley get hyped if he wins? Doesn't everyone on this board talk about guys fighting the best? That's what Bradley is doing. If he wins this fight, he would have two world champs, a young, undefeated mando, and a dangerous, hard hitting contender. That's a hell of an accomplishment. Bradley is fighting boxers, punchers, counterpunchers, boxer punchers. Bradley is one of the few guys who is doing what everyone says they want done out of fighters. Surely this is something that would justify any hype that he would receive.
Like I hinted in my opening post, the adulation Bradley recieves is certainly warranted (for exactly the reasons you've just mentioned). I guess all I'm saying is, Maidana is not exactly an extraordinary task for him. Stylistically, it'll be a relatively easy nights work for Bradley. So don't be too amazed, or in awe after watching Bradley do something that's expected of him. He may very well be painted as this monster right now, but mark my words, Maidana will be heavily exposed when he meets the likes of Alexandor and Khan later on. So when looking at it, maybe this thread was more of a knock on Maidana, than Bradley
