First of all i predicted a bradley UD and it was right on spot. Now here is my assessment on the fight and the fighters..(feel free to comment) Bradley - good win IMO. If he keeps on winning he might get a chance against the top guys. But based on the fight he showed last night, I know he isn't ready for Pac/May(calling Pac "break down this wall"). He has no edge against Pac in speed, power or skills. I like him as a fighter but i think even Khan would give him problems. It is good that 140 is becoming the most intense because of the deep pool of talents. But bradley would be stopped brutally by the top dogs. Alexander - now this guy is young. Has good skills and power. He showed last night that he has the advantage in punching speed than bradley. But he also should the reason why i predicted a bradley UD. He showed this in his previous fight. He has no ability to adjust. Once bradley figured how he worked, it was easy for him to break him down. I don't know if he was really hurt by the headbutt but i know other boxers in 140 that wouldn't quit just for that. I kinda feel like he lost the will to fight when he can't do his game plan against bradley. Overall - a good fight while it lasted. But it didn't live up to the hype. These guys are not ready for the top dogs.
You mean you predicted a Bradley decision, the same prediction most people had before the fight? You're a modern day Nostra-****ing-damas.
The key difference in this fight was mental. In fact, I can't recall a recent fight that more clearly illustrated the old adage that "boxing is 90 percent mental." Alexander had clear physical advantages in hand and foot speed, reach, size, etc. Didn't matter, because Bradley had toughness, desire and "fighter's mentality" (balls). And that made all the difference in the world in this fight.
I didn't predict this fight by soliciting other opinions. It is how i assess each fighter's skill. If many people predicted the same, then we shared the same thoughts. Is there anything wrong with that?
Alexander requires the services of a good heart transplant Dr.Anything larger than his pea sized heart would be acceptable.:|
People commented on Alexander's arm punches during the media workouts, but it was even more obvious during the fight. I don't remember the round (it was later in the fight) that Alexander threw a 3-jab combination with his elbow staying in nearly the same spot. It wasn't an arm punch, it was a backhanded tricep bunch. As for Bradley, I haven't found anyone I'd compare him to. I've mulled a comparison to Bernard Hopkins, but Bradley isn't nearly as skilled defensively. Or maybe I just don't recognize Bradley's defense, as he completely neutralized/discouraged Alexander's uppercut.
