Stick a fight in a neutral site that isn't a tourist draw (like Vegas) in the middle of winter outside just about the worst city in America. Not just outside but inconveniently so from a travel perspective. Then do a terrible job promoting it and just be content with the site fee.
Detroit is a city, no? How many fans fill up the stadiums there on a weekly basis? I actually have no idea but I'm guessing it's more than 100 times the tickets sold for this fight? This fight won't happen in Detroit ever again and it can't sell?
None of these guys have the potential to be stars. Being a good boxer does not automatically mean you will be a big star. You need charisma a personality something interesting in your background or best of all to consistently give high action fights with sensational KO wins.
Yeah you're right. The Klits have all these qualities in abundance. This shouldn't be about which guy you prefere to whack yourself off to.
That's was what I thought they would do when I first heard it was going to be in Detroit. I thought it would be filled with nothing but Hot Prospects and/or ranked Contenders from Michigan and Canada since there is only a bridge separating the two and even a hand full of fighters from Nearby Toledo/Cleveland, Ohio. I figured Hearns, Prospect Domnique Dolton, Anthony Dirrell (Andre's Brother) and Cleveland Prospects Shawn Porter and Yaundale Evans, The Vargas brothers from Toledo...I guess we were using this thing called COMMON SENSE AND LOGIC.
