Bradley: Both VADA and USADA testing for Marquez fight

I'm not surprised by this. Both are heavily linked to steroid suppliers, both suppliers have fast acting ped's and an extensive knowledge which can easily mask results, both fighters have been hounded by allegations of PED use and have signs of such. Both fighters avoided a rematch with Pac and if they are going to fight clean, expect it to be due to a gentleman's agreement where they can go back to normal in future fights.

They are either dumb, greedy in their ped use or have really shitty S&C coaches.
Literally all top level athletes are on some form of PED and the richer you are the easier it is to pass tests.

People that think anyone is clean are extremely naive, Mayweather etc are all on peds.
The tests are just publicity.

In general I agree with your premise, but I know statistically that the likelihood there are clean fighters is real. The only reason I lump a guy like Floyd into that good chance of being clean category is how he has fought throughout the years and hos skill set. He never had any dramatic increase in weight and was always a gym rat. Yet, he purportedly used anabolics and was able to maintain his weight, so as to never really have to cut weight in his climb up through the weight classes?! From my personal experience with anabolic PEDs, it's virtually impossible to not gain mass. Even a something like Stanozol will throw on 5+ lbs on a micro cycle. Then we see the sublime skill set and it's much easier for me to envision a fighter like that being a historically clean athlete. With that said, the statistical likelihood that most athletes have used some form of PED during their athletic lives, is surely very strong.

 

He got a significant muscle increase during his "vacation" when he first went to 140+ he got muscled around quite a bit.
Then he takes a extended break and suddenly he is much much stronger and almost noone muscles him anymore including Shane.

The muscle increase was not even as dramatic as the raw strength increase.
Besides the PED use doesn't need to put on raw muscle it has many other beneficial effects.

Mayweather definitely is not clean, but neither is anyone else so who cares.
I think if anything the testing that he requires other fighters to do gives him a bigger edge as he can afford much better PED's where the rest will have to use lesser versions to still be able to afford masking them.

You honestly think that when your 32 mil a fight is riding on retaining your 0 and you know the rest of the field uses that he chooses to stay clean? that is just incredibly naive.

I believe the extra testing is to get opponents come clean while he prepares AND fights with prescription for testosterone replacement therapy.
