i didnt drink tonight, upset cause i was junkyarding it all day today looking for a alternator bracket for one of my cars, found one, took the old one all apart, put the new one in (every single hole and screw fit perfectly), only to find out the last screw where the alternator holds didnt match :---(
Bradley was leading with the head and hitting on the break, behind the head ..low blows(unintentional) up the ass. But Holt was more focused on that than the ****ing fight. I mean that was frustrating. I mean we all see this dude knock and stun the **** out of Bradley every god damn time he threw the jab he knocked him back about 3 feet and made his eyes roll back. Nothing in his idiot brain made him think ..hey, maybe I should box this guy. atsch
^ exactly what I mean by Bradley's fighting style. does he really need to throw behind the head and kidney punch (ie round 10)
Just because he wasn't throwing as many or more punches than Bradley doesn't mean he lost the fight. Activity alone should not win fights. Holt landed the cleaner, harder shots throughout the fight, scored the KD's, and had the better jab. The only thing Bradley did better was bodywork. When they were close, fouls were taking place or Bradley was throwing ineffective punches. Some judges prefer effective power punching, some prefer activity alone. Tonight we got the judges who preferred ineffective activity for the most part.
I dont think those were real rabbit punches. It was just rapid taps to the side of the head to probably show to the judges that he's being more active than his opponent.
Not gunshy, but fighting relaxed. He was poised the entire fight for the most part. He got a little wild at times but for the most part he was very calm and looking to counter which is exactly what he did.
Bradley took this fight by sheer force of will. His determination was undeniable. He was coming forward pretty much all night, even after nearly having his head taken off in the first round. What did Holt do other than the 2 knockdowns? Land an occasional clean jab? Bradley definitely deserved the win.
That is the worst summary of the fight someone could possibly come up with. He was lazy, looking to do as little as possible, countering ineffectively. Looking for any excuse to have a break/rest. He was mentally weak and couldn't apply himself physically because of it. He had no body attack, no jab, limited combination punching. He took minutes off at a time and would let Bradley throw 10 punch combinations with nice body shots unanswered. Holt was mentally weak and it showed through his performance.
yeah but he doesn't have to throw at the back of the head, which he was doing. fouling in a combat sport always pisses me off be it excessive holding, low blows, biting etc. and I thought you weren't allowed to hold and hit. but Holt still cost himself the fight more then anything. inactivity is an under statement as the only good points of the fight for Holt were the 2 knock downs.
It comes down to what I've said about Bradley since the Cherry fight: he is solid at everything. That includes things like conditioning, mental preparation, focus and ability to adjust to win the fight. Was Holt the more skilled boxer in the ring? It looked like it, but Bradley had the better ability to win the fight. That goes a long way for me, which is why I certainly consider myself a fan and have since Bradley was on ShoBox.
