Hopefully it all pans out as planned. Highly doubt it though. Its boxing.

Alexander fighting Maidana could be career suicide. I can see Maidana roughing Alexander up. He is no Urango. Maidana can box and has more speed and power. How would Alexander deal with a guy he can knock down but keep coming back even harder?

I really question his heart and i think he will break again when pressured. Maidana is the perfect guy for that.

Dr. Shaw Hi should leave boxing and concentrate on his patients' health. Or on his.

Better terms for his April fight !!!!!!!!!!! WTF :fire , the guy is offering top fighters ****in pea nuts to line his own pockets , and thus far they havent got an opponent , and yet they are saying that the April bout can be more lucrative for Khan !!!!! , this is just insanity

Tim Bradley - Message for ya mate , go and join GB in June buddy , look what they are doing for Khan , and you deserve a lot more :deal

Not sure what the obstacles are in Shaw's terms , if he's giving a cut off date as July 30th , but Bradley will be leaving him when his contract expires in June , he must hold rights to Bradley's fights after his contract is up , or he's confident Tim is resigning , Golden Boy will be waiting in the wings to sign Bradley you would have to think they will be licking there lips at having Khan , Bradley , Maidana , Ortiz and Alvarez under one roof potentially ........................

The concept of Khans next 2 fights dont figure Tim Bradley anyway , thats already been as much as stated , April bout in the UK , followed by Marquez in July , then Bradley in Dec in Vegas ..........

Alexander is so much better than Maidana technically its almost a mis match , but your actually right , its a terrible come back fight for a guy who's just been out muscled by a boxer / puncher , given that Maidana would have to be ranked as the worlds most dangerous pressure fighter !!!!

Khan's offers to Peterson were very good actually. He wasn't lying when he said Peterson was out-pricing himself.

$300'000 imo is a good offer for Peterson your right , but Peterson doesnt want the fight , and he's had McCloskey and Katsidis literally laugh at there offers , if Khan was putting something semi decent on the table he would have an opponent , its that simple

GB are paying Khan 6 figures for a fight of no significance , the first place they will cut corners is Khan's opponent , every party that GB / team Khan have spoken with have said the same thing , there being low balled , and thats a diverse set of opponents from different country's in different weight classes

Edit ; the conditions on PPV rights and rights of future fights and re match clauses that Khan offered Paul McCloskey was embarassing to a proffesional boxer .............

Plus Maidana breaks hearts. Ortiz had him down 3 times yet he came back and stopped him. I think Ortiz hits harder than Alexander too and also Alexander was pretty open for the right hand. Maidanas money punch.

    • So Peterson not wanting any of Khan, isn't really TK's fault, is it. It is a good offer.
    • Katsidis turned their offer down in previous negotiations (last July 2010). And even then, they offered him the same money he earned in the Mitchell fight - £260k. That's like a 80/20 split. Again, pretty reasonable that.
    • The McCloskey offer seemed pretty low.

if a fight generates a total of $5million the opponent getting $300,000 is total bull****.

£260k would not be an 80/20 split. If you think Khan is only taking £1mil your very much mistaken.

Mate, Khan only got $950,000 for his fight against Maidana, who himself got $450,000. $300,000 for Peterson is very good.

Simply not the case. For a start Khan minimum purse from GBP is $1.5million

Khan got $950,000 from HBO only. Thats doesn't include Sky TV, other international TV money. Fee from the Mandalay Bay, Sponsership etc.

Khan will have made at least $2million

That's without what Sky were going to pay him on top (PPV revenue)

Just throwing that out there ;)
