Bradley/Marquez should be a GREAT fight, one that I'd pay to watch but.... Salido vs Cruz...okay Jessie Vargas vs TBD .......... Sean Monaghan vs Anthony smith ......... seriously? This can't be it right? lol
The co-feature is a good fight. Vargas is OK. Lomachenko is a terrific amateur but I am sure the debut will be showcase-y. Monaghan is an exciting fighter but Smith is barely a domestic fighter. Nothing worth it aside from Main Event, in my opinion.
Huge Bradley fan, and the only reason I'm buying this fight is for him. Salido/Cruz is alright, but Vargas is so damn boring and Monaghan is best left in the East Coast.... man, how are you going to show this guy beating a bum on PPV?
Keep in mind that Top Rank has two major PPVs,Cotto/Rodriguez, Alvarado/Provodnikov and Chavez Jr./Vera happening in the Fall. There was no way that Arum could stack both PPVs and still turn a worthwhile profit since PPVs require considerably more capital to promote. I know that Arum gets a lot of **** on this site but Top Rank has some great fights coming up :bbb.
Wow yeah Monaghan vs. Smith was a big "wtf" moment. Vargas vs. TBA should be the opener. Salido vs. Cruz is a good co feature but not enough to carry the other two televised undercard bouts. JMM vs. Bradley very well could make up for it all, though.
Just heard Abregu is confirmed for an October fight. He would add interest in this undercard for me for sure.
