I'm guessing Bradley-Provodnikov REMATCH fight will deliver between 1.8 to 2 million viewers...

  3. Very good numbers and a great exhibition for the sport. This is what the mainstream fans want, real men with real cojones FIGHTING. Not that running, jabbing sissy ****. The majority holds the power and we are getting real fights put on air and boxing borefests shunned into the darkness. Loving it.

That's good, HBO will be just fine without GBP and the ratings for their last two boxing telecasts show that...

  6. Would love a rematch but only if Bradley promises to go balls of the wall again and fight it out. I think Bob told him that he needs to do this in order for TP to keep him on the big networks and possibly PPV, he needs to become an action fighter. Nobody wants to see him run for half a fight again.

Yeah but I think fight fans tune in after Round 2 when they got word that Bradley almost got KTFO...

Plus the UFC fight was boring... :D

True indeed but HBO in terms of marketing and subscribers is what helps them get the ratings they get.

Yeah but I think the fact that one is an ATG going for history and the other is a top 10 P4P coming off one of the most talked about fights of the last few years had more to do with it than any sign of some additional HBO subscriber interest or any sign of continued high ratings.

Then again, Rios/Alvarado II is a rematch of one of last years' best fights, so that will probably make it 3 in a row at 1.4 million... (if my memory serves and Hopkins/Cloud did 1.4 million, which I want to say I remember it did)

(great avatar, by the way ;)

Sexy Sergio next fight will be on HBO live in Argentina which will also do solid numbers and Donaire/Rigo will be fighting in Radio City Music Hall which should also do well in TV ratings.
