No way in hell would Pacquiao fight Alexander. The only reason why he's fighting Floyd is because of the $$$. Alexander and Bradley bring WAY TOO MUCH RISK (to his so-called Legacy) for $8-10 Million.
ichard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions [representing Mayweather] told the scenes's Robert Morales that random Olympic style drug testing would have to be involved if any boxer under the Golden Boy banner was going to face Pacquiao. We previously reported that WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley was willing to replace Mayweather and fight Pacquiao in March or April. Bradley's promoter Gary Shaw is taking the same position as Schaefer. Shaw informed thesence.com on Thursday that random Olympic style drug testing would have be involved if Bradley was going to fight Pacquiao. "We would gladly fight Pacquiao, but he would have to undergo the same tests that Mayweather is asking for. We would gladly fight him at 140 or 147," Shaw told BS DOT COME So far, Pacquiao will not agree to the random drug testing protocols of the US Anti Doping Agency. Top Rank, who promote Pacuqiao, are looking at alternative agencies but Golden Boy/Mayweather are holding the line for the USADA - because of the oganization's strict "random" testing methods. Pacquiao will agree to take three blood tests - before the January press conference, 30-days before the fight and immediately after the conclusion of the Mayweather fight. Golden Boy/Mayweather are not looking for set test dates. They want random testing for both fighters during their training camps. If Mayweather-Pacquiao falls apart over the testing issue, Shaw believes the situation will become a lot worse for Pacquiao. "If he doesn't do the tests with Mayweather, I believe the only fights that Pacquiao will be able to get are with fighters who are with Top Rank. All other promoters are going to want to know that they are fighting on level playing field," Shaw said. "If Pacquiao is truly afraid of needles as Top Rank claims, how did he get the tattoos? Did he go to a carnival and go to the kiddie booth to get transfers done?" Looks like Everybody Thinks Manny is on Roids
I know that. However, many on here think Pacquiao is the only top level fighter who disregards the risk/reward factor before chosing who he fights.
It's weird you mentioned legacy, yet didn't make the connection there that right now Bradley and Alexander add nothing to it on Pac's end. Bradley's getting closer to the point where he's a viable option, but another good win or two first would help his cause greatly. Alexander's not even a little close. They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence because Bradley's alot closer to getting (and deserving) that fight than Alexander is.
Bradley is ready to fight the elite fighters at 140 and maybe 147. Natural athletism combined with speed, power, and a good chin make him a formidable Champion not to be taken lightly. My bot Desert storm is ready for war! Pussyboyfloyd.
That's true, but he has already told me that he has no intention of honoring the bet. There is no defending that.
Bradley sees money. Not that I blame him or anything. They guy probably never made more then 150K-200K for a fight.
