Still better and more meaningful/competitive than many other fights out there, including Mayweather-Khan.

2lb get the hell out of here, in fact Canelo just stated his next fight he will come in at 152.

I think you have it confused Pac fought Zombie Oscare , who had not fought at 147 in over 7 years and came in below the 147 pound weight limit.

A bird in the hand! I agree with the overall sentiment but who could walk away from 6mill for a chance at 10mill and who knows he may actually win this time . . . lol.

Bradley is one of the few fighters that could give Floyd some issues but unless Floyd gets ancient overnight Timbo doesnt really stand a chance.

I will watch him because he is a top fighter but I have a hard time dishing out good money to see bradley fight. TBH I was more interested in seeing him fight JMM than fighting either Pac or Floyd.

Well ESPN reported already that he signed the deal with Pacman and subsequently, has re-signed with TR. I'm a bit disappointed Bradley went this route as TR's stable is very diluted in the 140-147 divisions. Who else is there in TR for him to fight aside from Manny and JMM? I don't think he'd be too keen on a rematch with Ruslan considering how badly hurt he was in that fight.

I just think GB has much more depth in their stable, and while he probably wouldn't make a 8-10 million dollar payday per match with GB (aside from fighting Floyd,) he'd have many more fights of quality to be matched up with- Garcia, Khan, Guerrero, Peterson, Porter, Alexander, Ortiz, Thurman, Maidana, Broner and obviously Floyd.

All those matches would be headliners and he'd probably make somewhere between 4-6 million for each of those fights. It could also do wonders for enhancing his overall legacy. His future in TR is going to end up recycling the same old fighters.

I don't get this Bradley can't even box that well and provodnikov almost destroyed him. Floyd would beat Tim so easily. Pac is a way riskier style match up. Easy fight for Floyd - Bradley doesn't often have effective aggression, he bull shits an head butts his way through fights.

The best thing I can say about Bradley is he gets in super shape for fights and takes an excellent punch.

why does he kiss future paydays goodbye?
    he will always have options.

he made a decision to stay i must admit though.
there are lots of nice fights at golden boy.
    thurman
    broner
    paulie
    khan
    maidana

but theres still fights at top rank.
he has JMM willin to rematch but i dont wanna see that.
hopefully after pac he wont fight him again either.
if any rematch will happen then its provo.
    he already fought abregu.
but alvarado and rios can bounce back get a win or 2 then boom
u got a good fight right there.
jessie vargas is an up an comer as well.

Signing could be a way to protect his " OH " too many stars at Golden Boy.

    provo is with banner promotions.

....and i knew, timmy would re-sign with TR.

TR/HBO pays more, he's not with Haymon and he's been getting decisions his way.

This thread is sad because it shows that the fans have fully bought into and are accepting the two division system put in place by Top Rank and Golden Boy. Bradley should be able to sign the best deal for him and his family with out having to worry about being locked out from fighting another promoters fighters.

This deal was probably the best deal for Bradley. 1st I seriously doubt that he would earn $10 million fighting Mayweather as he doesn't bring anything to the table like Canelo did. 2nd a Mayweather fight is far from a guarantee. 3rd how much are GBP fighters being paid? How hard is it to get good fights if Al Haymon doesn't represent you? I'll go out on a limb here and say Bradley probably stands to make more money fighting JMM and/or Prov again then he does fighting Devon Alexander or who ever GBP would put in front of him.
Reality is Bradley has likely earned ALOT more money then say Danny Garcia or even Broner.

It's weird, on one hand I am disappointed with the match options he has at TR. On the other hand, he's making more money with a lighter touch. Outside of Provo, whom I think Bradley could out-box if he stayed disciplined and fought intelligently, I don't think any of the other fighters pose a huge threat to him while maximizing his paydays.

I really think that there are fighters that care about their legacies/ boxing resume, and I do think that Bradley is one of them, as he is pretty game in terms of fighting whomever is put in front of him, but I also can see him watching out for his own best interests, and in a sport like boxing, that is something he SHOULD be doing. Good fights withstanding, he made smart financial/professional choice. Maximize profits, minimize risk.

There will be a time in the future where fans will attempt to minimize and overlook his contribution to his era of boxing. While we try to justify/demonize his decisions, he and his children will still be rich.

    They're rich, *****.

Legacies don't mean sh*t. This is Prize Fighting. Staying too long, missing out on guaranteed pay days, and pretending that the adoration of fans pay any bills whatsoever, is a chumps approach.

Take your money, minimize damage, get the f*ck out. That how you win at boxing.

On the one hand, Arum has been good for him and guided him to a title and some paydays he might not have reached with anyone else.

On the other hand, long-term contracts with the guy seem to be a dumb idea...although given the way he fought Provodnikov (and the punches he took in doing so) Bradley isn't necessarily the sharpest tool in the shed...
