Floyd is a self assured alpha male who does what he wants. Leave the trading to prove something for insecure fighters

I just have one question to the "warrior trolls" on this forum:

How much money have you donated to broken down fighters who were "warriors" in the ring? Exactly. These guys talk about how guys should "put it all in the ring, it's all about legacy" and then wouldn't drop a dime for these same fighters when they are broken down from their wars in the ring.

Waiting to see the list of guys who have thrown money to Gerald McClellan's health care......... (Just to name one)

Waiting to see the list of guys who have thrown money toward the families of boxers who have died as a result of damage in the ring...... (Not just the famous ones either. Not all "warriors" end up famous champions.)

It's one thing to fight like a warrior, it's another thing to do stupid ****. That was some stupid **** Bradley did and he paid the price. His heart was never in question. He showed plenty of heart against Manny. The only thing in question was the decision and he read it the wrong way. All he had to do was dominate Rusian with his boxing skills. The dominance would have spoke for itself. Now, as for Mayweather, he can accept getting hit and will act accordingly. When he got rocked by Mosley he didn't take a backward step. Instead, he started walking Mosley's ass down.Mayweather is an intelligent warrior but what he won't do is give a juiced up mother****er a shot at hurting him. That would be foolish and I don't blame him.:bbb

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I heard someone criticize May for fighting the way he does. Maybe I missed it. Most of his criticism comes from his reputation as a "ducker" or "cherry picker". I don't think it's about his style.

Exactly why I laugh anytime I see people talk about "walking through punches" like it's no big deal.

Oh yes of course. You can especially see it in the way he acts. Very secure indeed .

Sometimes you have to bite down and fight. You can't box and cruise every time out. Ruslan was putting on a ton of pressure and he hit like a monster. Bradley wasn't fighting stupid, he was just doing what he knows and whats' worked for him. Bradley has warrior blood , its who he is. Yes he could have held more , or ran but that's not who he is. Why do u have to criticize a fighter for being exactly that - a fighter. You sure as hell got your money's worth, so why are you complaining?

Its' not like Floyd hasn't been in good scraps. Ever seen the Augustus fight? Corley? Cotto most recently? He got tagged quite a bit. This isn't counting all the gym wars he's probably been in. You can't avoid punishment in this game.

When Bradley switched from boxing and circling in round 1 to taking the fight to Ruslan, would you call that fighting stupid?
    I sure would

If you watch the fight again, he actually boxed consistently until he got caught. When Bradley is hurt his natural instinct is to fight back. That's what happened repeatedly throughout the fight. It's not like bradley just went out there swinging like a moron. Ruslan was putting on a lot of pressure and catching him - and his punches were putting him on ***** street almost every time. When your that hurt, your fighting on pure instinct after that .

Bradley got hurt originally from taking the fight to Ruslan. And after that, he never recovered fully and that did lead to a lot of moments in the fight where he had no choice but to fight back

well , he came out boxing, ruslan hit him, and Bradley's response was "your not gonna bully me around" , so he came back at him, and then got caught with a nasty one. It happens , and that's just how Bradley fights, he's a warrior. There's no need to put him down for 'fighting stupid' or undermining Ruslan's efforts either.

I thought you were referring to the way he is in general. Even outside the ring.

Inside the ring Mayweather does what he is best at. I think most boxers stick to their strengths. At least the smart ones. I don't have a problem with the way May fights. It's ****ing stupid to demand boxers to fight a certain way. But like I said in an earlier post, I haven't heard many criticize Floyd for this. That's plain stupid if people do.
