Welterweight Bradley Skeete (27-1, 12KO's) who's been upping his KO % the last couple of years (5 out of his last 10 fights) is looking for a UK fight. His eye seems to have fallen on inactive and notoriously bad chinned Amir Khan (31-4, 19KO's), who people might remember from a 2016 Canelo KOTY contender, to add another KO to his resume. You guys think this is a right opponent for Skeete at this point of his career, or should he look for bigger and better names? This content is protected
Khan has lost 3 of his last 8 fights and is no where in WW rankings and hasn't fought at that limit in over 2 years. Skeete has won all 8 of his last 8 and is ranked top 10 by IBF and WBO.... Would be a good match up.
I'm down with this. Skeete should have got the nod against Gavin IMO and he's been in decent form domestically since then.
I dont mind this fight to be fair... could be a good comeback fight for Khan... I think Khan wins on points. Winner gets a WBO shot... Frank loves a WBO eliminator!
Skeete having a close match with Khan and then, following a nail-biter 5-10 minutes of score tallying, with Khan smugly prancing about figuring he must have this one in the bag on star treatment alone, only to have the announcer proclaim "and winner by split decision, and STILL the British welterweight champion..." - oh god. I think I would jizz right in my pants.
I'd be over the moon. And you know Amir would be seething to lose to an unaesthetic feather-fist with no fan base. Feel sorry for the hooker that he'd end up beating half to death later that night, though.
