I had it to Bradley but it was close, Bradley wasn't getting his shots off and neither was Witter, most rounds were scrappy and allot could have gone either way.

Just ignore belts altogether. They're meaningless nowadays.

**** there goes Bradley's pull. who wants a high risk low reward fight against bradley not that he doesn't have 2 belts? I'm guessing maybe only Holt.

Yeah some people will use that as a reason not to fight Bradley since he's not unified anymore. Sucks for Bradley.

The big names weren't going to fight him anyway. Campbell had 3 belts at LW and that didn't help him land a big fight.

Guzman was somewhat of big name but he didn't make weight so the fight was called off. But yeah I get your point.

Guzman was another second tier guy who couldn't lure in the big names just like Campbell. Guys like Pac, Hatton, and Mayweather are not overly concerned with belts. There's no reason for them to be when they have ability make mega fights with other big names.

Right. There's a great deal of quality names in the 140 range. The issue is nobody seems to be fighting one another because everyone is waiting on Pac/Hatton.

I think Bradley's only chance of securing a super-fight was if he collected world titles and really solidified his claim as the top light-welter not named Hatton.
I'd like to think Nate would have gotten a big fight if he was still able to make lightweight.
If you have 3 titles it gets very difficult for the top guys to ignore you.

And that is what happens in boxing...Calzaghe's Win over jeff Lacy isnt going to go down as one of the greatest wins in boxing, but at the time it was a huge fight, likewise Lehlohondolo Ledwaba took on Pac as a tune-up fight for his title unification with Augie Sanchez..How did that work out..Im not saying that Alexander is going to be the next Pac, but he did what he was asked to do in order to get his shot at the title. And every time a title is stripped because a fighter has nothing to lose by giving up the belt just tears a chunk out of titles. And as long as we fans keep saying its OK to give up a title to fight this guy because its more money, then in the next breathe calling him a coward for not fighting who is seen as a "GOOD" fighter but no money. You cant have it both ways.

Bradley gives up the belt to face bigger names for more money, instead of Alexander.

Dawson gives up the belt to face bigger names for more money, instead of Diaconu.

Niether guy was a real risk to the champion but one is seen by many as ducking and the other is seen as UNFAIR, and a sign that the ABC groups dont want titles unified.

If Bradley had defended against Alexander, were they going to strip the WBO belt?

No, the WBC was going to stip them of the WBC belt if Bradley didn't dump the WBO belt. Even if Bradley agreed to fight Alexander, the WBC would've either made him give up his WBO belt or strip him of the WBC belt.

    Here's exactly what Sulaiman sad;

“They (Bradley’s representatives) called to say they want to keep the WBO title. But we approved the fight with the condition that the winner would have fifteen days to determine what title to keep. Because of the way things have gone with unified titles, organizations lose all authority. So I’m not in agreement with that.

“If he does not pick the WBC, then we understand that he relinquishes the title, it’ll be vacant and we’ll order the two highest available challengers to fight for it.”

This is some dumb ****, that being said WBC has always hated WBOGUS, so I'm not surprised but this is just wrong, IMO Bradley should file a lawsuit against the WBC.
