Unfortunately, Bradley has no leg to stand on in this situation.

Even if he'd fought Alexander, Tim still have been stripped by the WBC if he wanted to keep both belts. It's not about not fighting his mandatory- the only reason Jose Suleiman allowed the unification fight in the first place was because of the understanding that the winner would only keep one belt in the long run. Keeping both belts wasn't an option Bradley had, which is the real shame in all of it.

Here is the problem with the ABC's. They really do feel as if they have the final authority in boxing. The fact is real champions dont need the titles. It is really only the guys looking to make a name for themselves that need an alphabet to get established.

The problem for Bradley is he one of those guys that is already established that doesnt need a trinket to legitimize him?

For my part I think yes. behind the superfighters at 140 bradley must be the number one guy.

Sillyman is a ***** who should have been a stripper. As WBC head, he still is--and proud of it.

The reason the paper champions refuse their mandatories is just that, they are paper champions. A real champion cleans out the division.

Honestly I dont think that legally the WBC could have stripped Bradley as long as he agreed to fight Alexander next, regardless of what Suliaman said in that release. Pavlik holds both the WBC and WBO belts, and Darchinyan holds both the WBC and WBA belts as well. There's clear (and current) precedent there, and the WBC would have been wide open to a lawsuit.

Damn right , i was ashamed by the home town judging ( and I like I witter ) at least the right man won.

As for this business with the belt , it sucks , but its hardly a new situation is it ?

Bradley will come through ok !
