I agree that if Alexander and Marquez both win, GBP will try to make Khan-Marquez. BUT Marquez is no ***** and will not take a fight he doesn't want.

I JMM will prefer to drop back down and take on Soto/Rios.

That is actually bull****. Khan gets the recognition in the boxing press as a superstar. Not these two.

They will have to beat Khan if they want to become bigger than him.

No. Even the press at Ring.tv, ESB homepage etc cover Khan more than Bradley and Alexander combined :good

Specialist boxing sites recognise Khan as a bigger deal. If the winner of this fight does not face Khan, especially after Khan faced a dangerous banger like Maidana, they will be slaughtered.

Khan gets a lot of attention because GBP promotes the **** out of him, not because of anything he's accomplished. Currently, Ringtv and the other sites have a lot more to say about Khan because HE JUST FOUGHT. Bradley hasn't been in the ring in a while, and Alexander's last outing is one that everyone would rather forget about.

    Journalists cover what's current.

Trust me, if Khan goes to the UK to beat up some domestic-level challenger, nobody's going to make much noise about it over here.

Khan has no star power in the US. Alexander doesn't either, outside his hometown. Bradley doesn't have much of a following.

However, the winner of Bradley/Alexander will have started to develop a fanbase, and they'll be about on Khan's level (as far as the US market is concerned). The winner and Khan will have one thing in common--they each have exactly one win that anybody cares about.

That's who they need to pay their salaries, so it'd be in their best interest to do it. Bradley's worth more than he gets, but without the casual exposure, the disconnect won't be fixed. :good

Ok, I was going into Bradley/Alexander pretty 50/50 as far as who I was rooting for. I think I've just slid that to 60/40 rooting for Bradley.
