I know I'm responding a bit late, but why the hell would they want to fight in Detroit? I know the buzz with Bradley & Alexander isn't nearly as big as some of the other boxers right now, but hell, I can think of 200000000 other locations that I'd rather fight in. I imagine that there are venues available in California, Florida, Chicago, Texas, New Jersey, New York, hell basically anywhere else. Do these fighters get a say so, or the option to decline a certain location for a fight or are they just stuck with whatever?
It comes down to who is willing to host the fight, the ownership group of the Silverdome probably made the best offer. Its going to look weird as **** to see an 80,000 person stadium holding only 10K
