Has either of these guys proven their Chin yet? I know Bradley was put down a few times by Holt. Thoughts? :think
Bradley's chin is slightly suspect but his heart and quick recovery more than make up for it. Alexander's chin hasn't really been tested but held up perfectly to this point. I don't think their chins or lack thereof will have any impact on the outcome of the fight
Tim has been dropped a few times but he can recover pretty well. I heard that Alexander has never been dropped as a amateur either.
He is such great condition that his recuperative powers after being hurt are great. Sorta like Byrd......but get hit on the right spot and not see it......it won't matter. That goes for even the most iron chinned.:deal
Tim's conditioning and recovery are exceptional...Alexander's chin has held up fine so far in that he's never been knocked down, but Kotelnik was visibly affecting him a few times during that fight. It's a case where even though Bradley's been knocked down more, I think he takes a better shot than Alexander does.
I think Tims chin is shakey , but his fitness brings him through. He did say when he was dropped by holt that his legs felt numb for a few minutes , which is a bit worrying .
It was interesting during the face-off thing with Kellerman that Bradley admitted he thinks Alexander punches harder and takes a better shot than he does.
When holt caught bradley with that left hook at the beginning of their fight, I thought it was over. I still don't know how he recovered from that. ****ing brutal.
Alexander has a strong chin. I've seen him take some good shots and not even be phased by them. Bradley has a weak chin.
Alexander has the better chin clearly but Tim's while not iron isn't glass either if it was no way in hell would he gotten up from that monster shot Holt hit him with.
That is interesting. Even though he's not cocky, I'm surprised Tim would concede that even if he really thought so. Of course, it could also be a way to flatter Devon in an attempt to get him in a nicer, weaker state of mind. I do think Alexander hits harder than Bradley, even though neither one hits harder than above average, tops. I know Alexander got Urango out of there in spectacular fashion, but Urango was also coming off of a brutal fight with Randall Bailey that I think cracked his chin.
From what I've seen, Bradley's chin is normal. He took a few big shots from Abregu up at 147, and he never budged.
Both strong but I think Bradley's willpower is stronger. Being dropped by a good/great punch is nothing it's how you react afterwards to it that counts the most. Ali got dropped by Frazier but he still got up and looked fine. More relating to the topic, Bradley looked fine after getting dropped which was kinda scary as that left hook Holt dropped him with for the first kd could've caused decapatation. The second kd was more of Holt catching him with an uppercut coming in. Alexander has a nice uppercut so Tim needs to fight smart. Both times Bradley look fine after the kd's and toke the punches well. He has cheen.
