Bradley hasn't yet proven himself against an elite JWW. Fighting any solid WW would be ill advised at this stage of his career.

For ****'s sake Reg. :patsch I am fully aware people move up in weight...thanks for that blockbuster of an announcement BTW.

All those guys you mention...NONE of them are Tim Bradley. Short fighters don't move up in weight as easily as taller fighters do.

    Manny Pacquiao = 5' 6"

    Miguel Cotto = 5' 6" 1/2

    Floyd Mayweather = 5' 7" 1/2

Now why couldn't Bradley move up one weight class and fight guys who are about his height and started out at weight classes below or at his current weight class? It's all about skill in this sport. Moving up one weight class is no big deal. It's all about whether or not you have the skill level to compete with the guys at the higher weight class.

When did Floyd Jr. become a puncher? And didn't Corey Spinks move up to 154 and win a title? And didn't he go up to 160 lbs. and give Taylor a competitive fight? Spinks can't punch his way out of a paper bag. It's all about skill. Size is not as important as people make it out to be. Now punching power is a form of a skill IMO, and it will help you when moving up in weight. However, there are many other skillsets that will help you when you move up in weight as well. It's pretty ridiculous to say that size is the reason that Bradley couldn't go up to 147 and fight a Pacquiao considering they are the same height and considering Pacquiao started out at 108 lbs.

Floyd isn't a puncher, but he CAN punch. Again...you can bring up ANY OTHER FIGHTER YOU WANT...but they aren't Timothy Ray Bradley Jr. Reg.

Well no **** Lance, but your reasoning seems pretty **** poor. Think about it, you're basically saying that we've never seen Bradley at 147 lbs. before therefore he can't compete at 147 lbs. That makes no sense to me. I've watched a lot of boxing in my lifetime. One thing I've noticed is that skill generally prevails over size. I don't see why that wouldn't apply to Bradley. When you consider all the extra weight classes that are around these days, size should not deter a fighter from going up one weight class to fight a guy he's better than. Now Bradley isn't better than Pac or Mayweather or Mosley, but he just may be more skilled than Berto.

Oh yeah...my reasoning is **** poor. Who am I to think a short, light hitting fighter who was recently dropped by a decent 140er would not beat the top guys at 147. I must be a...HATER...right?

And I am aware Bradley is skilled....****, most boxers are SKILLED. But I just don't see his frame allowing him much success over 140.

No, just ignorant. Corey Spinks can't punch for **** and was knocked out by Judah at 147 lbs. He went on to win a JMW title and gave the MW champ a run for his money. Getting knocked down or out, isn't always a function of your ability to take a punch or your opponents punching power. Sometimes, you just get caught. Holt is something like 5' 9" and hits a lot harder than his record would indicate. He hit Bradley as flush you could hit someone in that ring. Now Bradley went down, but he didn't look dazed at all when he got up. The boy can take a punch. He just got out of position and got caught. Now Berto has fought two JWWs already and has failed to stop or even hurt either one of them(Urango was almost knocked out in a JWW bout). I don't believe Berto can knock Bradley out. It would come down to who's the better fighter, not size.

None of this even matter...but I'm sure you believe it's gospel. I don't think Bradley has the frame to allow himself to move up successfully vs. the top dogs at 147. Bradley is already pretty muscular at 140. Adding weight is NOT going to allow him to be the same fighter. Look at Shane...almost night and day from 147 to 154. Now, if you want to continue kissing your own ass, have at it.

Bradley's last 6 or 7 fights have been against very solid fighters in JWW. Who is this elite fighter you speak of? I don't see anyone at 140 giving him much of a fight.
