His last one was at 135 but against an ordinary opponent. And he's as feather fisted as you will ever see.
somebodies "0" has got to go ... lets put this **** on HBO B.A.D or on an undercard for a nice fight ... this shouldn't be headlining any venue.
Are you serious? Compared to some of the **** that headlines nowadays. It's a big fight that deserves to headline a card, just not a stacked card.
They only have a verbal agreement at this time - still working on the weight and everything else. No contracts have been written up or signed - only verbal - as of now.
This is main event material anywjhere. Should be on HBO but probably will be on Showtime where Bradley has headlined before.
Showtime is probably the defacto network for this one. I get the feeling HBO won't take another chance with Guzman after his 1st half dominant, 2nd half sleepy performance against Humberto Soto. This is Showtime all the way.
fights at 140 but only for the WBO, Bradley was stripped of the WBC for not fighting Devon Alexander, who is a good but unkown fighter that will likely be handed the title. I dont like Guzman chances here. But it may once again be a case of a fighter like Pac killing himself to make a weight that he has no business fighting at. Guzman hasnt had a stoppage in like 5 years, fighting smaller guys, lets see it the added weight will make him stronger..Im really up in the air on this fight, because I dont think that highly of Bradley.
Yeah I think Barrios had a lot to do with it. I miss Jorge Barrios to be honest. If Showtime can get all of the details to work themselves out, A Devon Alexander/Junior Witter plus Bradley/Guzman would probably be very entertaining.
Yeah,I miss Barrios too, broke my heart to see him against everything with Juarez in that homecooking. He lost the big time after the Freitas fight where he went back to Argentina and not fighting on tv.He's lost his bigest fights and had a detached retina, now a broken ear drum, but he's pnly 32,he can get something done at 135 if he movies it.
I like this fight o lot. I'll be interested to see how Guzman performes at a higher weight. I'm picking him to out-point Bradley who is a good all-round fighter but who doesn't have anything really "special" about him. Guzman has wasted enough time in his career - he needs to win this and make a push for a few big fights before his speed diminishes.
