This is not a mismatch what so ever. Bradley can pull it off, specially if he fight on the inside, but Bradley is a guys who keeps coming at you, so he should not ignore defense when he tries to get on the inside of Pacman. Pac hasn't been the same for a long time ago, he's lost his mojo. Pac is 65-35 favorite if you ask me.
It'll be a great win for Pacquiao to have on his resume, especially when some people are considering him to be coming out of his prime. And Bradley has experience at 147 and really doesn't look any worse than he does at 140. I don't think Bradley will want to get inside though, especially if Pacquiao puts him down.
Not sure if trying to get on the inside of Pac is a good idea. Only if you're the bigger, stronger guy could that work, because you'll at least be tough enough to withstand his attacks, and have enough in your own punches to hurt him. But even then, as Margarito showed, that might not be enough. Bradley has no notable physical advantages over him. Hard to imagine him having any success by keep going at him. In fact, he'd probably get ****ed up. Best bet is to be defensive, fight off the back foot, control the distance, take the left hand away, and drain him of early success. THEN, he can take the fight to him in the latter rounds.
I said the same thing yesterday: Bradley needs to make it rough on the inside. If he stays at range with that big noggin hanging out there Pac will tap that ass early. He needs to manhandle Pac, and of course Butt, to have a chance.
This, work the body but come in work and step back out again, only problem is getting there, pac is good at cathcing people coming in with his speed. But if Bradley can get in there early to the body, his speed wont be a factor towards the later rounds.
No...easier said than done, before tim could go inside, pac will be on his side...the only way to beat pac is run and counter...
Getting to the inside will be the tricky part. It's conceivable to think that Bradley could get badly hurt - or worse - while attempting to close distance. Pac is also adept at creating space with his footwork and then firing from a flanked position; thus Bradley could also get badly hurt - or worse - when the fighters appear to be disengaging themselves from each other. IMO, Timothy's best chance is the box on the outside and circle left, i.e. Mosley and JMM, to counter with combinations and to never fall into the trap of exchanging.
Ofcourse he needs to close the gap and fight at short range and on inside. Hes the shorter fighter. He needs to fight Pacquaio how Lamont fought Khan from round 3 onwards. Ramming his head in and throwing this vicious bodyshots and uppercuts. Pacquaios footwork is better then Khans though and he doesnt keep that passive defense like Khan
Fighting and pressing is a terrible idea. What he needs to do is just what Marquez did, make Manny come to him but constantly give him angles and turn him. Marquez showed us he can't adapt, Shane showed us the same, and then Marquez showed us again.
I dont believe timmy can stay back and box on the outside, there are only 2 boxers who are capable of doing this and control pac and timmy isnt one of them imo. I think he will get drawn into a fight and stopped, if he tries to get inside that will end badly for bradley.
