Tournament has no legitimacy. This fight should be postponed until Braehmer is fit and Groves should be given all the time required to recover.

Farcical end to the tournament really. Braehmer boxed beautifully against Brant.

 

Just remembered that I paid for the Smith-Braehmer fight, ITV better refund me, not exactly chuffed to see Smith KO some 13-0 nobody in the first round.

 

Yet ITV are still charging a tenner!

Not his fault he's signed up to fight the top fighters. It does him a diservice as he would have win tourne whoever he faced as he's better than them all.

 

The quality of this SMW WBSS was poor anyway, Eubank Jr was in a semi final FFS and you all saw just how terrible he really is.

Braehmer is old and let's be honest poor, Smith has fought just once since December 2016 and that was against a bang average Blacklege.

It's a nice concept but we needed at least 3 genuine world champions in it, having just one in Groves was always going to make it a poor series and leave a lot of questions unanswered.

Possibly good news for groves then if this gets pushed back it surely means the final should be pushed back also?

Why should it be ? It's a shame for Braemer and for Smith as he would have learned a lot fighting Braemer. Smith signed up for tournament because it promised regular fights at set times, so because fighters got injured as is normal in a contact sport his semi final should be cancelled after a tough 12 week camp, well it shouldn't. If final gets delayed before he starts training camp by a few weeks then fine but anything else is a disgrace.
