Really any loss or victory at this point only enhances both Pac's and May's legacy, does not tarnish it. Really at 36 and 38 years old, multi-weight champions, you can't really knock each other fighter in terms of legacy.

I'm just trying to be for real. Mayweather is picking on a smaller fighter and in no way does this make up for all the cherry picking he's done in the past. However in no way does a loss prove he was a cherry picker. He's 38, so there is no way of telling if he would have lost at 28. He will still go down as a slick operator who was undefeated his whole prime and maybe whole career.

Pacquiao on the other hand has won titles in 8 weight classes, and really doesn't belong at 147. He has already lost several times, so another loss to the the best p4p fighter isn't going to make him look bad either. People love him because he takes on challenges and has overcome many odds.

So what is May 2nd all about? It's about bragging rights for fans for the next year or two. I personally don't care cause I'm not fighting or getting paid. I'm just interested in a good fight. I just like deflating fan boys egos and calling it like it is.

While this is true, sadly the public won't follow if Mayweather loses. After years of trash talking and false allegations, Mayweather losing would be a massive hit on his career and record. A loss would literally haunt him and his career forever.

    Floyd ****ed no one.

Arum didn't want to make floyd margo, plus margo is a cheat
Paul William was no one, not popular and only people who say floyd ducked him are pac****
Pacquiao ducked floyd for YEARS, there are proof, even admition of guilt by his trainer Roach ( which were posted earlier today too )
Arum didn't want to make it in 140 cotto days

Who did he duck ? No one. Stop making excuses about weight etc

I think he'd only take a hit legacy wise only for about a year, however small voices would turn to the majority in about 5-10 years about his true legacy as an ATG. Otherwise I will step up to the plate now and say at 38 years old and everyone knowing he's lost a step or two it would be an obvious case of decline. Plus he's been adamant about retiring soon, so I don't think it would really matter when it comes to a historical context.
