Fury YES Brain YES Chin YES Heart Wilder YES Brain YES Chin YES Heart PAPA Zhang YES Brain YES Chin YES Heart *no gastank but not deemed relevant in these rankings Joyce NO Brain YES Chin YES Heart USKY YES Brain NO Chin YES Heart
Usyk went in with one ofbm the biggest punchers in the HW division twice and didnt even looknat all bothered. So how can we point to him having no chin ? Wilder has a boxing brain ? I mean the guy hasnt thrown a sincere jab since 2016. At least make it make sense.
I find some of your ratings too lenient, Wig. Fury has gone down 12 times in his career and is blatantly ducking BRUTHA USKY which means I'd lower both his CHIN and HEART ranking. Wilder also has always been NO BRAIN and NO CHIN but the Fury fights proved his heart. Fury YES BRAIN NO CHIN NO HEART Wilder NO BRAIN NO CHIN YES HEART
I appreciate your considered feedback, fellow. Moreso since you bring a different opinion to the discussion. Fury has been down, sure. I can’t think of many heavyweight champions who haven’t. The point is the big man ALWAYS gets up. And to eat hellfire from arguably the greatest puncher in history, to stand toe to toe three times and live to tell the tale, surviving four KDs in the process? Fury’s chin cannot be in question at this point for me. He also ate bombs off Eleven year undefeated VLADD in his own backyard and stayed on his feet. Fury’s DUCK of USKY seems to be all about the Saudi blood money. Right or wrong, that seems to be what’s at play here. If Fury retires without facing undefeated USKY then his entire legacy will be the guy who ducked the feather fisted cruiser for undisputed. I agree. I struggle to believe Fury lacks the heart to get in with a little cruiser with no pop when he got in with prime wilder three times. As for the bronze bomber, it takes a high level of ring IQ to be able to land the one shot which every opponent knows you are looking for. Wilder gets called a one trick pony but why can’t anyone defend against his one trick? Wilder has a chin. It took twenty stone prime kronk fury eleven rounds of their third fight to finally put him away. He was giving away what forty pounds in weight? Second fight his corner pulled him out against his will. Man is as tough as they come. I don’t see any other current heavy outside of maybe PAPA Zhang and Joe Joyce who could absorb so much punishment and still keep coming. Wilder has chin, genuine warrior. Thanks for the feedback. Appreciated.
Fury chin??? Wilder chin and brain? Lol You stated Usyk no chin? Usyk never been dropped as far as I know.
Fury is big, but he is not a big puncher. I'd go with Wilder at best having an average chin. Wilder's IQ isn't great either. He is quick. That's why he can land his right hand. Also, Fury aside, he has largely faced flat footed fighters with no head movement as that is how most HW's today fight - flat footed with no head movement.
Mate, we are all still waiting to hear how Usyk (the man who has never been dropped as a pro and has stepped up to the heavyweight division) has no chin ? Yet Wilder who has been stopped more times than AJ, Joyce and Usyk has a chin apparently ? Same Wilder who has been wobbled by Molina.
My rating of Fury seems to be aging well. That was definitely chinless and heartless performance against Francis. Dare I also say brainless but I find it bit too hard to lower his rating on the level of guys like Dubois. Other updates seem to be in order: Francis NO BRAIN YES CHIN YES HEART Joyce NO BRAIN NO CHIN YES HEART Wardley NO BRAIN NO CHIN YES HEART Gassiev NO BRAIN NO CHIN NO HEART
Fury got up yet again and absorbed a lot of damage from a big puncher. Given Fury's willingness to fight KO artists (Wlad away, Wilder x3 away, Ngannou, signed to fight Haye as a clear underdog coming off the Cunningham fight) I don't see how his chin can be questioned, given the fact he's not been KO'd in 35 pro fights over 15 years, was never stopped in the amateurs and has gone 50 full rounds against said KO artists. I wonder whether Wig includes bodyshots in his assessment of "chin", whether "chin" stands for overall durability. Usyk having a weak body (though not so weak that he's ever been stopped) is the only way I can reconcile him not having "chin". Getting up for the 7th time in your career and staying on your feet while under fire in the 7th and 8th to get the decision can't accurately be described as "heartless". Finding a way out would have been heartless. It was certainly a brainless performance in the sense that Fury underestimated Ngannou and didn't prepare properly. But the same probably won't be true for Usyk assuming that fight happens. Your assessment of Fury's heart is also contingent on Fury ducking Usyk.
Usyk has a very solid chin. I remember in the 9th round of the 2nd fight with AJ and he got caught with a straight right that could probably be heard from the back row and he just came forward to fight unfazed. Usyk = great chin.
