To all my friends and fans in Garden City, Due to an injury sustained this past weekend, I will be unable to attend fight night on July 16, 2011. I truly apologize, my intentions were to go, but my doctor, trainer and manager will not let me travel this week due to my hand being very swollen. However I will be there Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Again I apologize, I have sent a few autographed items and will be sending more in the near future. I wish all the fighters good luck that night and thank you for your continued support. Sincerely, Brandon Rios
I CALL bs... If he can send some Signed Autographs he can attend. Cause that is all he gonna be doing...signing and standing sitting, talking... He is not gonna give a sparring session or training sample... I tought he was tougher? lol
i saw a elie seckbach interview where he showed his hurt hand. flatlander do you have direct contact with brandon? if so please recommend him to get his hands checked out by a specialist such as an orthopedic, he keeps injuring his hand, if he damages it too badly its a very very long road back.
Wow, honestly? He's a pro boxer with an entourage of professionals giving him advice. Do you really think he hasn't thought of this and that YOU are going to make him realize, "oh ****, I need to see a specialist."
you'd be surprised. when paulie malignaggi broke his hands multiple times, each time he said he went back into training too quick and never had it looked at, in the end it was too late. i remember in the acosta fight brandon saying his hands hurt and robert garcia telling him "**** your hands you can still use it". too many fighters have the old school mentality or follow outdated methods.
Brandon Rios is the best thing to happen to boxing since Pacquiao Timeline of Best Things To Happen To Boxing Starting with early 1900's Benny Leonard Sugar Ray Robinson Ali Tyson Fanman Pacquiao Rios
Rios I bet hurt that left hand I was watching the replay on Showtime last night he landed a clean hard left uppercut to the Elbow of Antillon and you could tell that **** hurt
read my response. too many athletes are stuck in the past thinking praying and time will heal all wounds. i personally know a few amateur boxers who had to quit because they ignored their rotator cuff injuries.
