October first at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, Nigeria. Ten rounds scheduled at cruiserweight, to air live on DAZN. Interesting fight. Both of these American east coasters are in their mid-thirties, and their careers so far are probably most sharply delineated by their losses (Glanton has three and Browne officially two, plus a universally decried robbery win over Radivoje "Hot Rod" Kalajdžić). Glanton's best victoy is probably Aleksei Egorov, while Browne's is Badou Jack. Glanton has spent his entire career at cruiser, with a few brief trips over the line into HW. Browne was a longtime undefeated light heavyweight prospect who jumped to CW after losses to Pascal and Beterbiev, beating Adrian Taylor before disappearing for two years. Browne, the southpaw, has a 1½″ height advantage but is giving up 4½″ of reach.
This event was originally supposed to be headlined by Glanton vs. Rocky Fielding, but the Brit was injured and Browne signed to replace him on 5 weeks' notice in late August.
Yep. And the only non-African on the card besides the main eventers is super featherweight prospect Abdulraheem Raza Khan (cousin of Amir Khan).
