It did happen and it met and exceeded all expectations in my view. Couldn't find a dedicated thread, guess all the discussion is buried in the Wilder Ortiz event topic? That seems a shame because this fight was an epic contest, it had the additional spice of the failure to make weight, kudos to Figueroa in going ahead and mixing it with Ceja nonetheless. I'd love to see a rematch but one thing which struck me was how brave / foolhardy Figueroa is? He took a lot of shots, clearly he has a hell of a chin, but it must be a worry for those around him that he takes so many flush to the head? Anyway two brave, skilled fighters who put on a great show. Bravo!
Looks like Brandon really is just like his big bro Omar. And Ceja is a ridiculously entertaining fighter. But all these wars are bound to catch up with him. And I think it´s bout to happen pretty soon.
He certainly looks his age, as will Brandon if he continues in this vein. It shows the conflicting aims of fans and fighters. As a fan I want to watch these guys go to war, but if I were a friend of either man I'd be screaming at them to tighten up and stop taking so much punishment.
