    29-28 Espinoza. Roman landed just enough counters and combos to take the play away from Espinoza, but only just.

    The moment there is space between them Roman looks comfortable and works well, Espinoza needs to stay on his chest but that's easier said than done.

    The former champ finally controlling the distance well, jabbing into Espinoza's gloves to neutralize his buy-in attacks, then adjusting his footwork to always keep Espinoza having to lunge, or tying him up in timely fashion when he jumps in. Román able to score with long jabs or undulating duck/slip/roll/come-up left hook counters and then keep moving, taking minimal damage and not standing with Espinoza or letting him lead the way he did in the first six minutes.

    Roman boxing well now, getting the sauce to use the jab, Espinoza couldn't keep that early pace going and the moment he has dropped it off, he is starting to get touched up a little bit, still well in though, very competive.

    Román continues his solid but not flashy work from the previous round, nullifying Espinoza's swarming by jabbing, taking initiative with shots tossed in multiples up on his toes before melting down into a crouch, and creeping around the perimeter. Espinoza now reacting to what Román is doing, instead of forcing his will as he did to start out.
