    Wow
Another close round but the power and body work from Martinez wins this in my book
    10/9 X
    30/27 X Martinez

This could be closer on the judges

29-28 Burgos. Martinez is starting to match volume with Burgos. Couple with his naturally heavier shots and Burgos slowing down a bit, and we have a Martinez round.

3-0 martinez. Defense is a bit shaky though.

    Round 1 Martinez 10-9
    Round 2 Martinez 10-9, close
    Round 3 Martinez 10-9
    Round 4 Martinez 10-9

Another close one, but Martinez's cleaner heavier shots up top edged it, also Xaver is defending well to the body.

3-1 Martinez... Burgos doing a lot of good body work but he keeps gassing at the end of these rounds.

38-38 Draw. Burgos had some really good defensive work and counters, but Martinez pressure, forcing the action, and landing heavier shots pulls it through.

maybe, he looked bad against a lesser fighter in alameda. I still think he has enough to win the firefight against the much bigger figueroa, but well see, its a must win for him.

This is fairly unusual from Burgos so far who is normally more of a mover with a consistent jab.
I remember him getting badly shafted against Rocky Martinez years ago for the world title and so far he def doesn't look like a shopworn or shot fighter

I caught the back end of the fourth...looks (and sounds, per Bernstein) like JC isn't getting as thoroughly embarrassed as some of us feared. But there's a lot of fight left to go...plenty to see him age before our eyes and his once infinite gas tank sputter out.
