Heck of a rally by Miniburgos in the middle part of the sixth - but at 33, he just can't sustain it for the full three minutes.

58-56 Martinez. Burgos had some success and looked so damn cool when he ate a shot then chased Martinez into the ropes! But Martinez still landed too often and too heavily for me to give it to Burgos. Even though I want to. Damnit.

I remember the first time Burgos fought an opponent with the last name Martínez - incidentally, also named Juan Carlos, in a FOTY candidate on FNF in January 2010, over eleven years ago. I remember it vividly, like it was yesterday. But it wasn't yesterday. It was a full decade plus one year ago. Yet here is Burgos, still giving us a slobberknocker versus a well regarded unbeaten 23yo prospect in 2021. Crazy.

Dominant round from Xavier, starts out competitive, but Burgos started feeling the pace a minute in, then ate a frightful amount of head shots in the last two minutes.

68-65 Martinez. Clearest round of the fight, and I had it for Martinez.

Xavier starting to use his head as target practice, shelling up along the ropes at times, slipping and blocking shots, coming back with combos to the cranium of Burgos.

...did I hear Al correctly? Both men landed 40 power shots apiece in the seventh?

78-74 Martinez. A repeat of the last round, though maybe not QUITE as one-sided - still pretty clearly a Martinez round, though.
