Wasn't that the VERY same guy who was heavily favored by fans and experts to beat Provodnikov by outboxing him?

smh, I'll just copy and paste what I said before

I think Ruslan is better from outside and midrange, but Rios is better up close where this fight will take place all fight long.

Ruslan is better at tracking a fighter down and throwing on the move and at a moving target, but Rios is going to be right there in front of him.

So according to your logic, a fighter who is skilled at hitting mobile targets will somehow struggle against fighters who are stationary targets? Any real world examples/matches that provide evidence to support this theory?

were do you come up with this fantasy, nobody has walked down the Russian,he chases all the fighters he fights, and Bradley who is 3rd on pound for pound ran all night from Rusalan, this fight should not be made, because if you think Rios looked bad after pacman, after fighting Ruslan, Rios will look like somebody beat him with a tire iron,it would be fun to watch, but Ruslan might actually kill rios in the ring

are you kidding Bradley was much more lethal in close then rios, and the Russians hand speed and power would be to much in close, rios would be destroyed in close or on the outside.he is to slow and not strong enough to stop the Russian

No I'm saying the reason Ruslan beat Alvarado when he was moving and Rios couldn't is because of his ability to punch a moving target.

Styles make fights. When both guys are staying still, Rios is better. That's why people who are pointing to their common opponent are wrong.

Rios is a hell of a lot more durable and hits a **** ton harder than Timothy Bradley. Why'd you even bother bringing him up?

I actually talked about this a while back, I don't know what Rios or his camp is thinking but fighting Provodnikov is a REALLY bad idea for him. Rios has a GREAT chin but against Provodnikov that's a BAD thing as he will be taking monster shots over and over again without getting knocked out, his brain and his children will ultimately suffer the price for his arrogance.

based off watching them fight. I think Ruslan may have more one punch ko power, but I think Rios has heavy hands and he has a very high workrate in close.

I don't know which Provodnikov fights you've watched but trust me, he has absolutely NO problems handling his business on the inside, Timothy Bradley stood right in front of him in the 1st round and tested Provodnikov on the inside, what happened next was BAM! A monstrous overhand right devastated Bradley and sent him chicken dancing onto the canvas. Rios has a good chin and I'll give him that but as I said before his chin won't budge but his brain will end up paying the price and the price may be too big for his own good as I don't know if he will even be able to continue to be a functional human being after absorbing that type of beating. If I were a fan of Rios and cared about his health as a fighter, I would cringe at what he did just did, he's burying his own grave and Provodnikov will have no problems putting him in there.

I've watched Provodnikov plenty of times on FNF before people even knew who the hell he was. Ruslan is good on the inside sure, but I don' think he can deal with Rios there all fight long. You don't think Rios can take Ruslan's punches, but do you think he can take the never ending assault from Rios?

His face swelled up and he went home damaged from Bradley.
