Brandon Rios calls out Khan and Maidana

  1. just seen this over at the scene, how do you see this going? personally i see maidana knocking him out and khan getting a wide ud/late stoppage, purely based of the level of competition they have faced

I doubt Khan is in a hurry to fight Rios! Amir would have to be in superb condition and get Rios respect early on, does he have the power though? No doubt Khan would outbox him for several rounds but Rios could catch upto him and stop Khan.

As for Maidana, that would be a shoot out. 50/50

Winner of Maidana and Guerrero, for the WBA title now that Khan is super champ.

i wouldnt blame khan for not giving a **** at the moment, he's getting called out by the likes of floyd, rios has yet to estaablish his fanbase and is hardly known outside of hardcore boxing fans.

    but maidana fight must happen!!!!

if khan beats judah and then fights rios at 140 and beats rios it would probrably grant him a place on the P4P top 10 but in all honesty thats a nuthuggers wet dream i can see rios brutalizing him and stopping him in the late rounds, khan will win the early part of the fight when rios is still getting the engine warmed up but as soon as rios turns up the heat khan will be leveled

Rios certainly doesn't have the 1 punch power like a Maidana. What he is is a very good pressure fighter, which solid power. A come forward, head on the opponents chest aggressive fighter, very fun to watch. But I think Amir would outbox him comfortably at the minute. He is too fast, and carries a fai amount of power with him to get his respect. Like i said, he doesn't have the 'game changer' like Maidana had in the 10th when he stunned Khan for practically 3 rounds.

I do however think he beats Maidana, probably by late knock out. Marcos has been hurt before, and if Ortiz had a bit more composure, he probably would have got him out of their. If Rios hurt him, he wouldn't let up and would probably finish him off.

There are a lot of interesting fights for this lad. The other Peterson brother, Soto, Roberto Guerrero (my personal favourite fight for him to take), Alexander, JMM. The world really is his oyster

Khan stops him, nothing rios has done thus far has impressed me, he's just way too easy to outbox to stand a chance against a decent boxer, and his handspeed and jab is nowhere near quick or good enough to trouble Khan. He's a plodder, and looks like the new coming of Jeff Lacy.

Guerrero on the other hand is quality, and he's the one who would give Khan fits. I dont see Rios calling him out for obvious reasons

i would favour rios to stop khan around round 7 or 8. would just wear him down. khan would get his track shoes on from round 1 but rios would catch him up whilst behind on the cards and batter him to submission.

Um Acosta was more than a decent boxer and Khan does not have the power to keep Rios off him. Would be a great fight to watch :yep

Is nobody bothered about Tim Bradley at all? What a badly promoted fighter...

Any combination of Khan/Maidana/Rios/Guerrero/Bradley will be good.

Thatd be fun for a round of two. Katsidis isnt a world class lightweight though and will be beaten comfortably.
