Its not a mismatch. Rios would be the bigger man on the night, and as we seen with Juan Diaz and Katsidis you can get to Marquez, and if these guys can get to Marquez, Rios can certainly get to Marquez.

Oh and it'd be a great ****ing fight.

Maybe. Marquez is not getting any younger, and Rios brings a lot of intensity, but Marquez will hit him with some precise punches and Rios might be in trouble. Gotta bring better defense than that if he's gonna beat a fighter of Marquez's caliber.

Diaz and Katsidis were/are better fighters then Rios, it depends on the weight but 135-140 Marquez wins by KO he's just a better fighter.

Too much experience on Marquez's shoulders. If you want to know how it would turn out, just watch Marquez/Katsidis.

No way. From what i saw Rios chin isnt exactly granite. Some well placed counter punches were enough to throw him off his game. Also as soon as he got hurt he started backing up. Acosta just isnt really a pressure fighter so when he hurt him he didnt know how to finish him. Do you think Rios would have made it out of that 4th round with JMM in there? It was just 2 counter punches that hurt Rios. JMM would be landing punches like that all night.

Size matters Rios is much bigger man, younger, better chin and punch harder than Marquez no a good match for JMM.

after last nights performance it would be an interesting matchup but I do see something similar to katsidis but it seems Rios has a granite chin, probably 12 round decision to marquez

Marquez is too smart... Acosta pretty much gave away the fight by staying in the ropes all night. I just don't see Marquez letting himself get cornered like that. He'd move around and counter the hell out of Rios all night.

Diaz and Katsidis better then Rios? dont think so. Neither applies pressure like Rios. Neither are has hard punchers as Rios. Both were able to land on Marquez and hurt him. Rios wouldnt do the same?

I think JMM is getting a bit shop-worn, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities.

Rios impressed, but JMM is probably going a bit overboard.
