Brandon Rios can beat Juan Manuel Marquez

Both apply pressure better than Rios, Diaz can't punch but he throws more and is a hell of a lot sharper than Rios, Katsidis hit's just as hard if not harder and is a much better pressure fighter than Rios sorry Rios cant set **** up he doesnt know how, his only plan is to get on the inside and work he doesn't use a jab or feints to work his way inside his defense only consist of putting his hands up and he's a slower puncher than both.

Oh, if there was a betting line on "Will Marquez get knocked down?" the smart money would obviously be on Yes.

I just don't quite think Rios could finish him (better fighters have tried and failed) and he sure isn't winning a decision.

it's not like i bet on marquez to beat mayweather or margarito to beat pacquiao or something to shoot down my credibility.

 

Uhhh, yep....Nothing surprising about saying Rios can beat JMM.

 

I dont think Katsidis is anything special but yeah he'd walk through Acosta and break him down better than Rios did maybe your overrating Acosta? Diaz is Diaz and despite being young is probably shot at this point he still put's punches together and moved better than Rios ever will, also had hand speed. Marquez is old, but I can't give Rio's anything better than being a C+ pressure fighter ..too many opening's he doesn't take advantage of, too much skill he lacks like counter-punching, defense, and movement ...and he aint exactly Arguello when it comes to finding openings and capitalizing on them. He's fun to watch fan friendly for sure but not that special is my final verdict.

 

Rios can beat Maquez, but fans should wait until we see a little more of Rios before getting carried away!

 

Yes he can, he is much younger and in my oppinion better than juan diaz, marquez had tough time with diaz.

but first he should fight soto or katsidis.

two reasons why:

1 he would fight for the second time an world class opponent, which will give him experience vs an old master like marquez.

2 he gets more famous if he beats soto and the showdown marquez vs rios gets hyped skyhigh.

Im tired and dont wanna post anymore so ill say this Rios stands a chance sure a fairly good one but if he fights Marquez at 135-140 my money's on Marquez.

 

That's bull, Rios beats Katsidis. But the old Diaz beats Rios imo. But yes Marquez is a better fighter and will win. But rios will be a better fight then diaz and katsidis

 

JMM would be countering Rios all night....and might get dropped once or twice in the process.......but in the end he would get the UD, cuz you know JMM isn't gonna get knocked out
