LOL! Mauricio's no master boxer... He's wily for sure. He beat Danny by fighting up close and applying constant pressure.

Haymon keeps his boxers fighting once a year, they basically need a tune up after every fight.

This **** is crazy. For his own sake, I really wish Rios stayed retired. I don't even wanna say he is ready made for Garcia, this fight could make Rios ready made for an electric wheelchair and spit sucking tube in his throat.

Problem is, Garcia is well preserved, Bam isn't. I would've been enthusiastic for this matchup 5 years ago, but Rios' shopworn state removes any doubt as to who comes out on top now. Even at his best, Rios would've been hittable on his way in, but it should be like shooting fish in a barrel for Garcia now, easy to get off with singles or combinations and make a fresh angle before incurring any cost.

If his chin is still ridiculous, body shots could be the end of Rios here.

Dude, he's called El Maestro for a reason, and it's not because he's a master pressure fighter.

^ I actually expected worse than we got from Rios last night. The above forecast was generally accurate, but I expected an even harder rain to the head. Garcia was banging the drum very consistently, though, and those shots downstairs were taking a perceptible toll by the second half, having a lot to do with the increasingly labored action that allowed Danny to line up that perfect right hand.

I thought DsG looked a bit rusty last night and he said as much afterwards but Rios really needs to hang it up. When you do the bobble head on the way down its time to step away.

Rios did much better than I though, he did well for a while, but his defense let him down, plus, Rios does not belong at 147, he needs to go down in weight, he is not big enough..............

Either that, or just retire (which is the better option for Bam Bam at this stage, given how much accumulated punishment he's taken in his career).

Long gone are the days when Rios went to war with and took out Acosta and Antillon. Never did anything relevant that was good beyond the Alvarado trilogy after that. Rios, since leaving 135, sucks. And he still couldn't win a round off Abril while he was at 135, either.
