Im not too sure he would be able to carry his power to the 140 pound division. A slugger like brandon relies on the size advantage and the power.. would he be able to go up to 140 and slug it out with a Beast Like marcos maidana? :think Im not so sure he could pass that test. Would he avoid getting out boxed by a technician like Amir Khan? :think I dont think so!

Stay @ 135 brandon and keep fighting those boys, dont you dare step up with the big boys!

He will have no problem going to 140 because of his technique. He stays grounded going toe to toe and turns his punches over. Everything will translate fine for him moving up.
Rios is a perfect candidate for making easy adjustments going anywhere up until 140.

I think he'd do alright. He's a pretty big lightweight to begin with, knows how to cut off the ring, fight inside. He may lose a little bit but I don't see it significant.

Since when is Khan a "technician"??

Actually, I think Rios could beat Maidana, and I would pick him to do so.

Khan and him would be a good fight, id favor khan.

I think it will suit Rios, hes been looking drained to me. Rios at 140 sounds nice.

Khan one hundred percent. I believe has all the skills all the tools but has poor execution in the ring. Overshoots his combos and seems to tire even though he is money in sparring and gym work and has great stamina. It all may stem from his mental ability as a big time boxer. He does not seem to have that needed bridge of the body and mind as one fluid entity while fighting.

Rios is just too much. Chin is throwback, his style and demeanor are ferocious.
On top of all the toughness he throws beautiful punches even turning them over at times.

Maidana's style is pure pressure and he can sometimes use long range as opposed to directly inside. He could do some damage against Rios and could be a tough one maybe staying inches out of Rios's wheelhouse.
I would not pick a winner but watching this fight would be something.

I would not go as far as saying he would beat Maidana and Bradley but he would give any 140 lb fighter their toughest night of their career.

  12. He blew away what 135 had to offer. He's doing the right thing by moving up.

Alexander would have a hospital bed reserved for him if he fought this man.
