Ask Victor who won everytime they sparred in the past. Victor was always the whinny kid who blamed everyone else for his losses. Brandon is the one who whether he won or loss took it like a man.
There is nothing that indicates that Guerrero will KO him. While very well schooled boxer he is not a puncher and he was not able to KO Katsidis who he badly outclassed for the full 12 rounds. IMAO Rios is tougher and has better defense and jab. If they fight in 3 months I would favor Rios. If Guerrero gets active the fight is a toss up for me.
exactly. Peterson was one of the people that couldn't see this and he got a heck of beating as a reward.
He is by no means unbeatable to elites. It's just that Richard Abril is nowhere the **** close to elite. That's why Rios is considered next to unbeatable in this match-up. If it was still Gamboa (even with the size difference) it would be a very different story. There are really two camps of people giving Abril a shot here: - jingoistic Cubans flocking to feather - people who just saw the Acosta result on Boxrec or read about and figure that Abril must be really good to have gone beaten such a smooth operator (scoring a bunch of knockdowns, no less!). The fact is, anyone who has seen that fight realizes this was not the same version of Aguacerito who upset Moses & Antillon (and very nearly Rios himself). The guy Abril beat was maybe a 30% version of what he'd been pre-Rios. Absolutely awful.
Brandon has a good attitude for boxing! I'll give you that but Victor is too big and too strong for Brandon @ 147! Lets see how Rios carries his power to the higher weights. We all know Victor has brought his power up to 147.. Victor has too much speed and power for Brandon.
:huh Before he got old overnight, Acosta was a very sound technician. Maybe a bit brave for his own good at times, but he could be very, very sound. Not a Marquez or Guerrero, but neither would I lump him alongside the class of Murray (who's far longer on heart than finesse).
It isn't always. In fact, it often isn't. We don't all live in sunny California (or Julie Benz Island...)
Rios isn't overrated. If he isn't fighting Broner or DeMarco, then he needs to move up. He's looking like a bully right now fighting smaller guys.
Rios would get ****ed up, doesn't even have the power to KO khan, bull**** defence, rios is good but statements like this does make him overrated. Khan UD anyday - even if gets ****ed up by LP, he would still beat Bam Bam
That so called "***" had your boy toy looking like a little ***** against the ropes! :yep Vicious was getting to Mayweather and you know it.. I bet you were worried while watching the 4th round.. You fan boy ******!
I agree that Khan is overrated but he showed me that "will to win" against Maidana that many people were waiting to see . If you agree that El Chino is about on Brandon's level than I don't see how Rios "wrecks" Khan.
