No. Rios is much more of a crouched in-fighter, whereas Diaz relied more on volume at range when he pressured, without operating out of a clinch or through the physical leaning on the body like we see with traditional Mexican swarmers. Diaz had greater hand-speed and was often effective boxing from the outside/mid-range. He threw in quick successive combinations to vary his offense, whereas Rios would rather dig down and time one or two harder shots. Rios uses subtle rolls and slips out of a high guard for defense, whereas Diaz relied more on proper distance and more mobile footwork. Diaz is Diaz, Rios is Rios.
