Thurman is way to skilled for Rios. Rios can't fight on the outside worth a crap, which is sad cuz he's actually got a pretty good jab when he uses it. Thurman picks him apart on the outside (just like Chavez did but worse) with harder punches and I think Thurman has enough cardio to do it pretty well for 10 rounds. Only interesting aspect of that fight is can Thurman knock Rios out? The only way Rios wins is Thurman wears down by 8 or 9 and cracks Thurman's chin, but odds of that happening are slim imo
I gave the people on this site more credit than they deserved, hoping they had decent reading comprehension, laying out observations about my triangle theory. I was wrong.
Thurman is a long range destroyer. He be breaking **** from long distance ( ask Diaz ). He dropped Karass with a leaping left hook and stepped in from outside with a vicious body shot to pull the plug on Chaves. If you think that Rios got a whooping from Pac, and a thrashing from Mile High Mike, then you must surely know that Thurman would beat the dog **** outa the one dimensional man.
The point of your OP could not be more clear, but a lot of the posters here seem to stumble on specific words and can never make it to the end of a post without grasping the gist of it:conf
I understood exactly what you were posting. My initial reply was to other posters posting in the thread.
I didn't quote anyone in my initial post.:hi::deal I was talking about other posters in this thread not about the OP.
All Rios did (bearing in mind that he was losing) was prove he's a better inside fighter than Thurman...
As far as the whole "he hurt him every time he touched him" thing... Personally, I missed all that... Saw the fight 3 times, only saw one time where Chavez MIGHT have been hurt a little
That's all it takes to make someone throw out their gameplan, which Chaves did midway through the fight.
You don't really believe that do you? Actually, it was Rios big ass head that changed the dynamics of the fight.
