Brandon Rios Mad At Victor Oritz He's Backing Out Of Fight !!!

Ugh. I was looking forward to this fight.

 

I don't think the fight was even scheduled for real lol

 

Brandon says that they have someone else lined up... Matthysse?!?!?

 

I don't see why Bam Bam can't wait until March if that's what Ortiz' team requested. I get it that Brandon hasn't fought in quite sometime and is probably itching to get back into the ring, but this is the perfect fight for him at this juncture in his career. Both guys are relatively shot and whoever loses will probably retire so I imagine this would end up being an action packed fight for however long it lasts.

 

Must be a slow news day.

Probably because he doesn't think the fight will happen in March and he would have to back out of this other fight he has set up. Let's say he agrees to the March date, Rios' mystery opponent fights someone else, March comes and the Ortiz fight doesn't happen, now Rios has to find another opponent and he STILL hasn't had a fight since his loss to Bradley and as he said he is just getting older. That's missing out on money that he doesn't have a lot of opportunities to make in the first place.

 

That's a good guess and would be a good fight. As much as I want to see the Ortiz - Rios rivalry in the ring, I really can't get behind Ortiz anymore. I gave him more than enough chances. The guy has no heart for this sport anymore and is just trying to get paid.

 

Matthysse is possibly landing a fight on Canelo-Chavez. I doubt it would be against somebody as high profile as Rios.

 

What's the problem with waiting till March? Rios looks like he still has quite a few pounds to shed , and Feb. Is rapidly approaching. I need this fight in my life, they need to figure it out.
